Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 1 and 2 have just been released on Steam and… both of them are really awful ports. While the games are not that demanding when it comes to PC specs, their control mechanics are among the worst we’ve ever seen.
So, let’s overlook the fact that there are no “real” graphics options. The biggest issue with both of these Marvel games is that you can’t remap your keys. As a result, you’ll have to either use a gamepad or get used to the default keys.
Moreover, some of the default key bounds do not make any sense (for a PC game). For example, while you could easily use one button to execute a skill, you cannot. Instead, you’ll have to use a combination of buttons. In other words, the PC version comes with the console-button configuration and as such, you’ll have to use a gamepad in order to enjoy it.
Still, there have been a lot of reports regarding gamepads. Some Steam members claimed that there are latency issues while using a controller, while others claimed that they had major issues with both the X360 and Xbox One controllers.
And then, there is the price. Both games are priced at 39,99€ (there is bundle that features both of them for 59,99€, but still), even though the first Marvel: Ultimate Alliance is almost 10 years old.
In short, we strongly suggest staying away from them until – at least – their control issues have been addressed!

PC MASTER RACE111111!!!!1111!!1!!!!
Be quiet.
This is the demostration that the PC is dying
With ps4 neo and xbox one scorpio the PC gaming It will be defeated
All Xbox exclusive games will be on PC, and Sony exclusives although nice don’t exactly have the mass market appeal or longevity to make much difference.
Wrong.
No I am not.
Yes you are and that’s why you went and edited your original comment, you are a fool.
‘All Xbox exclusive games will be on PC’ Wrong they backtracked on this some time ago.
‘Sony exclusives don’t have mass market appeal’ what are you on?
“All Xbox exclusive games will be on PC moving forward”
Stop saying this. Microsoft took back that statement. Phil even said there is a chance of games still being xbox exclusive.
Quite the opposite actually.
jump on a cactus
Activision of all publishers releases old games on pc because there are people buying lots of games on steam, pc gaming is dying…..makes no sense.
oh and something else, bloodborne runs like crap on ps4, ps4 sucks and lets not talk about 720pbox juan.
You’re so cute and delusional (^?^)
Filhos da put@ porque removeram meu comentário?
Idiot… if you use a controller its the same stupid set of games that are on PS4/XB1
It should have been telling that a game announced at ComicCon and released a few days later was just a cash grab from Activation no less. Not to mention it doesn’t include the DLC (allegedly).
Still I wanted this to be good for Nostalgia sake.
“(allegedly)”
it doesnt
Top 5 Worst AAA publishers:
1. Activision
2. WB
3. Konami
4. EA
5. Ubisoft
“konami”
pfft that ship has sailed, to pachinko machine land!!
ubisoft is worse than EA in IMHO.
well, no, ubisoft has more content per game and did not remove their games from steam
They tried tho,,,,,,
Also they force you to use their launcher anyway!
Yeah, but EA also demands $110 for the complete game experience, whereas Ubisoft is willing to parcel it out to you in micro-transactions, instead.
Granted, that’s only marginally better, but hey, at least Siege had more than 4-f*cking-maps available on it at launch.
On the other hand, micro-transactions + Season Pass + terribly buggy launch, vs. $10 emotes & massive content chopping.
Damn, it really is close, isn’t it.
I think if Ubisoft had rights for Star Wars they would have f*cked us harder than the way EA did.
Maybe, maybe not.
I seriously can’t even begin to imagine that.
Ubisoft Montreal working on Star Wars? Hah.
Outside PES, what Konami does that is sh!te on PC?
I will add SquareEnix as well.
I’d say Square Enix are actually one of the only big publishers left who put effort into their PC versions actually.
First you have to augment your pre-order, then we talk 😀
Almost all of the FF games are bad ports, Just Cause 3 is still broken, Hitman is broken, their business practices are not as bad as EA or WB but still bad. also RotTR has losts of issues.
Welp, I suppose people will always find something to nag about not to mention RotTR is a stellar PC port.
Funny no one ever mentions Bethesda.
RotTR runs flawless for me as well. one of the best titles this year i think
Out of all those pubs though, Bethesda allow for modding in most of their games, those other pubs don’t allow for much if any at all outside of SweetFX and Reshade.
“I suppose people will always find something to nag about”
Because it’s a fact that those games have problems and no RotTR is not stellar specially when veryhigh texture means less than 10fps after few minutes playing and the delay on PC without any bonus stuff. quit nagging now.
“no one ever mentions Bethesda”
because it’s so bad that no one cares about it but it’s fanboys.
Also lets not forget the whole “we care about PC” and yet they say nothing about FF XV coming to PC at all besides “if we made it on PC it would have to be great” which is a duuuh kind of moment from them.
I honestly didn’t know about that. Haven’t played games in a while actually. The only game I’ve recently played is the Blood and Wine expansion and DkS3.
Well then, you played the best game that came out after witcher 3 😀
1. WB
2. Ubisoft
3. EA
4. Activision
5. Konami
0. Square Enix
1. Konami
2. Warner Bros.
3. Electronic Arts
4. Activision-Blizzard
5. ZeniMax Bethesda
6. Ubisoft
Granted, Ubisoft makes a lot of sh*t, but once in a while they manage to pull together something actually decent. ZeniMax is just bad, & I’d be very willing to place them higher than Activision, even, if it weren’t for Blizzard’s half of the company dragging them down, so yeah, Activision-Blizzard, 4th place, ZeniMax Bethesda 5th place.
Yes, I’m factoring in uPlay, which I don’t like to use at all, but at least gives me nice wallpapers once in a while, amongst other unlock bonuses (when they’re not trying to micro-transaction them).
Yes, I’m also factoring in Ubisoft’s “stamp those things out like a printing press” mindset approach to Video Game Development. Regardless, as I said, they do manage to actually squeeze out something good once in a while, so yeah.
So i have to use a controller (which everyone has at this point) and the games are sold at a premium… whatever.
what you said is so pointless that the page you posted does not even load. Pc gaming is making more money than ever and all consoles combined also the fact they are making new consoles PROVES that your consoles are weak and you need to upgrade. If pc gaming dies dummy how you gonna get hardware for your crapboxes?
Exactly the whole reason for the Neo and Scorpio is because this generation of new consoles were so under powered to start with as every body originally said.
mostly to do vr, which we said that consoles cant do at respectable frame rates and resolutions or more than a room.
Quick Cash Grab
I remember the 1st MUA on PC. It was fantastic and run pretty well. How did they manage to do this mess now?
It actually hasn’t changed, the game runs fine. I’m not sure about the keyboard mapping in MUA 1 as I played with a pad, but the mapping was just as messed up for the controllers in mua 1 as now w/ the re release. The only major difference I saw is orginal MUA 1 allowed to remap the buttons, while new one doesnt’
Some clowns still defend Activision. Unbelievable.
Do not feed this troll. It’s obvious that he is starving….. let him starve. And die.
Let’s not forget who we’re dealing with here.
hahahaha
also missing 1`s dlc and 2`s wii exclusive dlc i believe
Mortal Kombat X too (without XL stuff, btw)
The price structure is ridiculous, and the controller problems in MUA2 are actually the exact same problems in the original 2006 release of MUA1, I mean like the miss mappings are exactly the same. The onyl difference I’ve seen is in this new release it’s missing tha ability to map buttons/keys.
I executed a fix via a program called ximput plus, and some convienent settings I found posted on imgur. Fix took about 2 minutes and now on controller at least game controls perfect. reply if you want links.
For the issues itself I put this on Developer: Zoë Mode, I mean it looks like they basically snatched the control scheme directly from a 10 y/o game and pasted it as read only. That’s not acceptable even to a consoler to not be able to remap, and luanching with a bad mapping to begin with. Literally 0 care. I know Activision is a bigger name so it’s much easier to just shout it, but they don’t launch CoD games with that kind of laughfully bad config.
Why in the hell did you give them your money :O?
I didn’t
This mostly stems from AAA pubs that don’t give much of a care towards PC gaming. Activision just happens to be near the top of the list with EA and ubisoft also in tow. Their price gouging for so very little work and a bad port job is going to net them very low sales and they won’t even bother to learn as to why, publishers in general though.
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
They can’t get Prototype 2 HD to run at 60 FPS on the Xbox One.
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
DEATH OF PC HE SAYS.
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
activision putting its best foot forward for the terribly sad crappy gameporting company award. they really hit this one out of the park with this astonishingly horrible port, and did so with a game 10 years old. Its bad, putting it nicely, right out the gate when the intro menu shows up and asks you to select new game with that green “a” button and when you select it resets the intro/menu meaning the game mapped out the buttons incorrectly. Its obvious that its marked as use for a xbox controller, but somehow completely manages to screw its configuration up. and if you think it couldn’t get any worse, don’t worry, they also released the sequel! top that EA!
