In case you were not aware of, there were two multiplayer mods for Just Cause 3 under development; JC3-MP and nanos JC3:MP. Unfortunately, though, it appears that the JC3-MP mod has been officially cancelled.
The good news is that its main developer was asked to work at Avalanche Studios; an offer he could not obviously refuse. And that’s exactly why we are trying to bring all modders and artists into the spotlight. Because some of them deserve to be hired by the developers.
As Trix wrote in his farewell message:
“Good and bad news often come in pairs, and this case is no exception; several months ago, I was approached with an offer I couldn’t refuse: to join Avalanche Studios Sweden as a developer so that I could work on projects present and future. As part of Avalanche, I’ll be able to bring many of the things you know and love from JC2-MP into future Avalanche experiences, while reaching heights that a mere mod couldn’t facilitate. Unfortunately, due to time constraints, neither I or the rest of the team can actively pursue development on JC3-MP; our lives are just too busy to allow for it right now.”
This basically means that the nanos JC3:MP mod will be the only multiplayer mod for Just Cause 3.
Nanos JC3:MP is a multiplayer modification for Just Cause 3 allowing playing on customisable dedicated servers, and here is the latest video from it (showing a brand new WIP User Interface).

Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2. I wonder how close to release they were.
Why do I sense there was some SE meddling that we aren’t being told about? Almost like a… conspiracy?
Great for the modder. 🙂
So, Just Cause 4 is going to be an even bigger coding catastrophe, courtesy of the fully-integrated Multiplayer the JC-MP team is going to bring to the table?
Yippe-ki-yay.
coding catastrophe?
7 months later (December 1st, 2015), Just Cause 3 still runs like sh*t, & the latest DLC they recently released only made things worse.
Developer response to the issues? “It has been confirmed that the biggest perpetrator for all of the issues people are experiencing in JC3 is due to its memory leaking. The best “fix” you can possibly make is to upgrade to 16GB or more of system RAM.” Not that they’ve amended the Steam Store page’s specifications to 16GBs of course…..
Really, at this point all I’m feeling from them is – “This sh*t’ll never get fixed, but we still expect you to cough up for Just Cause 4 in “2” years time, because why not?” I can’t even tell if they’re seriously this bad at coding, if they’re just being lazy because they already have our money, or if this is a result of Denuvo, & they just don’t want to/can’t admit it.
Denuvo cancer must be canceled !
Im refusing to buy Games with this $iiii$
Mad Max working OK but i got constant problems with Log in into BF:H Servers (no Problems with BF:4 or BF1 Alpha)
I have the same problem with Hardline, it just won’t load anymore, bizarre.
You have ZERO proof it’s the fault of Denuvo
Very appropriate profile picture.
Dumbass
Of course they canceled it. they needed to bypass Denuvo, A)They couldn’t do it. B)Devs didn’t let them do it, so instead of going online and saying that cancer was the reason, they now offered a job. denuvo praise article coming in 3…2…
post source.
source about what ? about bypassing denuvo ? read their own blog, they said they want to make MP mod for the game but first they have to remove the DRM, then they said devs might help them, then they canceled it, now devs invite one of them to join the team.
“During that we have also identified a major problem which is currently limiting us in the ability to debug our code while running in the game. This is caused by DENUVO, the anti-tampering solution used in the game. We are working hard to figure out a way to be able to debug the game, but this is probably going to take some more time.” …………and canceled.

The majority of comments that I just read happen to bash either the game’s performance or conjure up Denuvo conspiracies, which is frankly pathetic and completely irrelevant considering the good news that a modder got a job doing what he loved. With that said, congratulations to the modder and I wish him all the best!
This bulls**t one year old video you just posted is research how ? they made a fake video just like many modders out there with their canceled mods or they just bypassed it then they were told that they couldn’t release the mod or they couldn’t release it public because it still needed a bypass.
“they needed to bypass Denuvo, A)They couldn’t do it.” how are they faking this?
Faking what ? they couldn’t bypass it or they did but they couldn’t release it because it is ilegal to post a crack and the devs might take action against you. there is an A and a B in my original comment, learn to read.
They just started working on the mod without Avalanches knowledge/blessing? This is the same group that got the JC2MP mod onto steam?
Why would they need avalanche’s blessing ? i guess they are the same group at least the first group to mod JC3MP but canceled it. but how is this related to my first post ?
If they announced they started working on the mod then wouldn’t avalanche immediately just go “um nah we wont allow it”
It’s not in avalanche’s hands, look at GTA IV mods, R* don’t like them but they exist. sure sometimes maybe devs help and give some tips and tools to modders like XCOM2 but sometimes they don’t and modding doesn’t actually needs devs blessing or permission.
In JC3-MP mod they talked to it’s devs to somehow be able to bypass the DRM so they can mod the game, we don’t know the exact result of their talking but the mod ended up being canceled and the guy offered a job at avalanche which is telling alot.
JC2MP got onto steam which says to me that there was a lot of communication between the devs of the mod and avalanche. Which is why I would be surprised if the JC3mp mod didnt have their support in the beginning.
It might be true, they might have some sort of blessing. maybe square enix didn’t let them to work with modders.
And everyone put their hands up for the ONE the ONLY the effing piece of sh*te yeah we all know it D for D*cknuvo ! Those stupid F’s are too stubborn to admit it !!!!
