Piranha Bytes has released a new trailer for its upcoming open world action RPG, ELEX. ELEX is described as a handcrafted action role-playing experience, set in a brand new post-apocalyptic Science Fantasy universe that puts players into a huge seamless game world full of original characters, mutated creatures, deep moral choices and powerful action. The game will feature raptors, mechs, mutants and jetbacks. Enjoy the trailer after the jump!

not really that impressive honestly but then again the world design of Witcher 3 spoiled me (probably best in the industry so far). have to wait and see how they are gonna handle story, characters and choices.
i think of cyberpunk and i get wet about how good its gonna be.

They need to edit the lighting system a bit, maybe fix their LOD issues, up texture quality a bit, and edit some animations. Then it will look pretty alright.

Mashing together different genres is a terrible idea and the visuals look like crap.
It worked just fine in Arcanum.
I never played Arcanum since I’m not a big fan on turn-based games.
You can play Arcanum either in turn based mode or real time mode. Great game.
Witcher 1 combat was pretty meh, but that didn’t stop me from appreciating other things in the game and ultimately enjoying it.
The mix of styles looks interesting, if a bit haphazard. Pretty though!
Give me twitch combat, PvP, territory control with a minor in PvE and I’ll give it a try.
This actually looks good, and I dont remember the last hard scifi post apocalyptic RPG, this might be great replacement till ME4 comes out, of course after i finish Desu Ex:MD
