  1. Another official junk trailer with controller slowness in a fast paced game. What NVIDIA showcased with the GTX 1080 looked far better than any of Bethesda’s terrible dumbed down trailers.

“speed of movement” showcases it using a controller, HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

    1. Yeah, there wasn’t anything fast in this trailer. Just one of the devs saying he likes to use certain speed upgrades – but the game is totally already fast even before that *cough*.

I’ve seen the leaked gameplay and these “glory kills” are single handedly the downfall of the game. Not that it doesn’t have plenty of additional flaws, but these melee cutscenes, which are STRONGLY incentivized as they save you ammo, give you more HP back and you can’t even get killed during them – they are the Achilles heel for sure. If this game had mod support I would be somewhat optimistic that removing glory kills entirely and maybe placing a little more HP around the levels to compensate would be the first mods we get and then I would consider buying the game. But as it is mod support is a NO, SnapMap is the only tool we get. So the singleplayer campaign is likely dead on arrival. And we already know multiplayer is COD without aim down sights. And SnapMap has a 4 player limit so you can’t fix any of the official game modes with it either. And also SnapMap is all about snapping together prebuilt rooms, you cannot do proper unique map layouts with it. And the game ships with just one theme of rooms and hallways, metallic/sci-fi. The Hell theme and one or two others are coming according to leaks and should be free. But don’t believe it before you see it.

Long story short: I’m still pessimistic about the game. Definitely noone buy this at launch. Everything we know points toward a technically decent port of a very flawed and dumbed down console shooter that needs mods to be worth playing but will likely never get them.

      1. There might not be any official mod support, but someone on Moddb has already created a tool that lets people explore the beta files and view models. He says he’s also planning on making it so it can import new assets into the game.

      2. ” They are NOT optional”

The blew up every enemy in the beginning of this trailer without the finishers

” Do not buy this game at launch or you are the cancer killing PC FPS. ”

For crying out loud what should you buy then jeez. this is why pc devs are like FCK IT, we cant win with pc gamers.

      3. “A streamer got through the game on “Ultra-Violence” (second hardest) on PS4 in 8 hours”

        Source?

  2. After Thief 2014 showcasing videos released, every developer revisiting a successful franchise talks about the “DNA” of it. “The DNA of this, the DNA of that” and we end up with mediocre ports and broken games…

    1. The “DNA” buzzword is older than that. Crytek used it in 2011, I think. And I’m sure they didn’t invent it either.

  3. DOOM – New trailer showcases “Guns, Demons & Speed”

This seems the first article where you stopped using capitalized letters beginning each new word. For that, very much thank you!
