Tom Clancy’s The Division – Here Is Five Minutes Of Leaked Gameplay Footage From The PC Version

DailyMotion’s member ‘Voodoo’ has leaked a video, showing five minutes from the PC beta version of Tom Clancy’s The Division. While the game is not up to what was set by Ubisoft’s 4K screenshots, it looks way better than all the leaked screenshots we’ve seen lately. According to the user, this video shows the PC version on High settings. Enjoy!

  1. That 240p video tho… give me 1 copy and i can post a 4k max setting video.
it looks like the user is playing with aim assist on.

  2. Looks like Xbox gameplay without blurriness or sub 30 fps.
Isn’t it funny just to what extent Ubisoft likes to insult their customer base? We are weeks away from release, and even now, they just can’t stop themselves from making more bullshots.
Can’t even call them insane, because they know people will make them rich regardless.
Oh the world we live in.

  3. Anyone who claims Ubisoft didn’t pull a bait and switch needs their eyes checked. Does it look absolutely terrible? No of course not. Do the graphics look as good as the E3 2013 reveal trailer? Not even close.

    1. Absolutely terrible no but terrible yes! It looks absolutely terrible when you see the 4K photoshop images and then this.. this.. farce! Plain and simple this is unacceptable from any point of view. I feel sad for consumers/gamers that will support again this company and their game.

    1. Too late, already bought the 60 fps PC version for $30. Should have instead got the 30 fps Console version for $60.

  4. Guys… GUYS! It says “HIGH” Settings. NOT “VERY HIGH” or “ULTRA”… Let’s wait a little longer before we start a lunch mob here…. sheesh!

    1. Lately there isn’t THAT much of a difference between ‘high’ and ‘ultra’ settings. Certainly not enough to give Ubisoft (of all companies) the benefit of the doubt.

  5. DSOgaming should be better known than the downgrade rant station number 1 on internet me thinks. Buts thats just me.

  6. Look we all know this game is the same era as Watch Dogs dealing with a time when dev’s still had no clue about how weak current gen consoles are. However at the same time we know that no dev’s that Multi platform go out for PC period. That’s right nobody does when it comes to visuals.

However If Ubisoft truly does make this game look a lot better then consoles on release and it performs well and does truly have Multi GPU support I think we should be happy for that.

Ubisoft like many dev’s problems is they over promise on visuals at events like E3. If Ubisoft would only show pictures at the true res instead of downs scaling images and cropping them at 1080P none of this BS will happen. And people would stop complaining so much. And if you think about the long run the only games from Ubisoft that were crap on PC were AC3, Watch Dogs, and ACU. Other then that AC1, 2, R, BF, ect, Splinter cell BL, FC1, too 4 have been decent ports. Rayman games very nice. The current ACS/RB6 siege have been good ports.

People need to stop crying about Ubisoft and take a good look at other publishers like S/E who can’t even make good ports of their flagship Final Fantasy series on PC, WB who keeps having f’k up’s with their ports on PC and give up on support. EA who made Battlefront a console game on PC, Bethesda who has not went all out on PC since ES3! Tecmo who can’t make a proper PC port if their lives depended on it.

If anything Ubisoft is showing more promise then the majority of publishers who have their games be made on PC. And the only thing that is saving S/E is the fact that nixxes does such a wonderful job on Ports as of late.

As for The Division I have access to the closed Beta coming up. So I will see for myself just how good the Visuals are.

    1. Agreed there, I recently started playing Rainbow Six Siege and was surprised by how good it runs and it looks good too, it was a good break from the good old counter strike while having similar intense action so if Ubisoft is getting serious about PC then I will support them.

If they manage to deliver the features they mentioned recently like full kb/mouse support, flexible user interface, optimized graphic settings & customized GPU effects, multi gpu support, intuitive controls for pc and HBAO+ then it’s worth buying.

As for downgrade, we all hate it and we know that though there is no point in keeping the downgrade as the only deciding factor. If they still make it better than console versions with no parity bulls*it then why not ? also it’s stupid to have life long grudge against Ubisoft, if they are trying to get better than they deserve a chance. Of course they are not pre-order worthy but if it turns out good then we should support them.

      1. Yeah people wanna complain they should complain about games like Alone in the dark in 2015 as well as Ravens cry for f’ks sakes.

      2. Rainbow 6: Siege played horrifyingly poorly on Launch, only becoming semi-decent with the December & January Patches combined, even though this doesn’t really make up for a lot of its core Systems failures, like using a Matchmaking Algorithm instead of a Server Browser because it’s cheaper/Consoles don’t really use them. – Don’t get me wrong though, aside from some minor Gameplay issues which they’ve already partially addressed, I actually consider it to be a decent MP-FPS, yeah.

Yes, Ubisoft 2016 compared to Ubisoft 2010 is a big step forward in some areas, like their pulling back on the “PC Later” mentality/mindset they used to be championing, but on the other hand we still have severe cases of “Premature Launch” & Anti-Consumer-ism, which in its latest form appears to us as the “Denuvo Anti-Modding DRM” infestation. Not to mention the continued mandatory presence of uNoPlay in everything.

Unfortunately Denuvo also doesn’t save them from making bland, repetitive (Gameplay-wise) products that continue to offer nothing new, hence the continuing Mindset that Ubisoft Games, regardless of what, continue to suck, with few & far exceptions in between (Siege, for example). Granted, these aren’t PC-Port-specific issues, but it does unfortunately still offset any goodwill Ubisoft might be creating with its “decent” PC Ports. On the other hand, at least Ubisoft hasn’t (yet) become dumb enough to forego Multi-GPU support on their PC Ports, & for that, I salute you, Ubitards.

Far as Battlefront, it’s not really EA making a Console Game on PC as much as EA continuously trying to push the whole “less content, more money” agenda that the AAA Industry as a whole’s been pushing for years now, albeit just “turned up to 11” instead of the usual 8-9. Unfortunately even Battlefront’s epic financial failure likely won’t be enough to give those idiots a wake-up call, so they’ll keep pushing that moronic mindset onto us, at their own expense (….finally!). 13 Million Unit Sales Projections – LOL EA – what did those idiots figure exactly, I wonder; “oh, the Movie did amazingly well, so… the sh*tty Game will too!”? Hah. Morons.

        1. Online games often don’t run well on launch and that’s why I avoid to buy them on day one, I learned this by Diablo 3 launch fiasco which I preordered and didn’t managed to play for atleast two weeks properly. I bought R6S a couple of days ago and it’s working fine so far. Aside from some funny glitches during game I found it to be a good experience but I agree that the match making system is ridiculous, a server browser would have been great.

To be honest the state of AAA games is in bad shape overall, be it with Denovo or without Denovo. The whole DLC and Season Passes drama is going to stupid heights and that is mainly coming from consoles. As for Denovo, I don’t know how exactly it’s affecting modding as Just Cause 3 and GTA 5 are still being modded but it probably has adverse effects on modding since it’s an anti tamper tech and modding is often related to tampering game files. I guess it’s something we have to compromise with, I said this before that not every company have a solid reputation like CDPR and above all they don’t share the mentality of CDPR but it doesn’t mean they are evil or bad. Of course they are not as good as CDPR but they are not evil as well.

Protecting intellectual property is their right and we the gamers (be it PC or console) have no right to steal them, we often do so just because it’s possible. Denovo is a middle solution, it’s neither as bad as some draconian ways like being always online nor it’s as good as no DRM at all.

As for Ubisoft, I agree that they have repetitive ideas which they need to change but that is only possible when gamers actually abandon their repetitive games. If it’s going to sell millions even after being repetitive and bland then why would they bother to change anything ? they will keep recycling the formula just like Call of Duty.

Regarding BattleFront, I try to stay away from anything that is coming from EA with exception of Battlefield and Bioware games like Dragon Age or Mass Effect. The best way to buy EA games is when they actually have some GOTY edition with all DLC included at a reasonable price. It requires some patience but you’ll be much more satisfied by your purchase.

      3. Because there is parity. The E3 version from 2013 was running on PC hardware. Today’s PC’s are more than capable of running the 2013 version, and the reason it is downgraded is because console parity.

    2. So you say decent on multiple examples, but that’s the thing here. While the demand is higher than the “decent” ports for PC, PC is not entitled to get those games but it can handle more and EVERYONE knows that it’s easier to scale down than to scale up textures (for example). But the Bulls*it reason to make decent ports is to compare that the consoles can hold up the PC capabilities (like the commercialism want you to think) but miss the very point of having a console in the first place, the convenient machine that starts your game that you want to play.. simple and no complications (at least in theory).

PC, PERSONAL COMPUTER – so you have the ability to PERSONALLY set your computer the way you want. And here is the kicker that you missed, All those games has been broken at the release date. That tells us the consumers that money is more worth than the product (since time is money, games has to be pushed out as fast as possible), which is ironic because the better the product is the more faith you have in the company and the company can gain more sales in the Long Run.

      P.S.
Final Fantasy games on PC, well those games has nothing to fix because those are often hard coded applications, though added features are always welcome.

      1. And the kicker is you can’t name one game that does not need a day 1 patch and does not have issues…

    3. At least EA make good port on Pc and Origin is work very well, compare to that cancer of Udon’tplay.

  7. I don’t care, at least the game will look much better and run much better on PC.

6 months of ultra graphics and smooth 60 fps is still better than 1 year of ugly low res graphics and cinematic 30 fps. Besides I only paid $30 so not too bad if I can get 6 months of fun from it.

    1. the game will fail quicker then that on pc.the game was clearly made for consoles.the only thing they compare it to is destiny.content being released on xbox one FIRST yea it was clearly made for consoles…lol

i know you paid $30 since you bought it from a grey markey cd key site called g2a.i just hope you key is invalid or stolen and gets canceled.
im sure in less the 4 months you will go back to you crap esports anyway….lol

fyi no return policy for thos shady grey market cd key sites that you use.

      1. That’s ok, I’ll just keep getting games at half price at cdkeys dot com and get a superior experience than consoles every time while doing it. Esports? Don’t play them like that, you seem to make the assumption all PC users play games for esports but hey, you consistently make stupid comments and why no one likes you here

        1. “That’s ok, I’ll just keep getting games at half price”

thats why games are made for consoles because you screw over devs…lol thats why consoles are getting dlc first and as we saw with another AAA title pc ISNT getting dlc…lmao.

the pc is first rate hardware 3rd rate game platform as you are seeing with this exclusive CONSOLE dlc first….lol

          enjoy your down graded port…lol

          1. imagine that..no one cares about the dlc….yea right…face it the devs are waking up mk x pc isnt getting dlc for a reason.the division dlc is xbox one exclusive first for a reason.

the pc is 1st rate hardware and a 3rd rate gaming platform…which is starting to get denied AAA dlc that should go to it.crappy ports, denied dlc, and console first dlc…lol

like i said 1ts rate hardware 3rd rate gaming platform…lol

          2. And yet it’s still better than consoles with sub 30fps, long loading times, innovation first on PC.

  8. Game looks good. Visually. As for gameplay…. well, it’s an online only loot shooter isn’t it? Nice to see the AI was less bullet spongy in this video. I expect the player was fairly high ranked. As for the downgradision…. well, it was a given wasn’t it. It’s Ubisoft. They are the main culprits. They’re the king of bullshotting and vertical slices. I’ll play the beta. I’m hoping there’a little more meat on the bones gameplay-wise.

  9. I’ll wait for the 60fps ultra settings videos before I draw any conclusions but it’s not going to look like the 2013 videos that’s for sure, never was.

  10. I shall wait until I see this running on my PC. As far as I can see there is little to non AO here and it looks like he is not playing in max settings at all, in my opinion.

Also there is nothing worse than judge a game by videos since there is a lot of loss in quality.

I know there is a clear “downgrade”, the most noticeable are the shaders and the lighting, but the rest looks really close to what it was back in the day.

    Let’s wait and see.

  11. “2nd Response from The Division Developer: Truth be told in regards to your question that while ‘Yes’ the lead platform is the PC, we simply cannot have such a big gap. As you know when the first WATCH DOGS Review was published by that one site, Ubisoft called it a “false review” and I am sure everyone can see how bad that sounded when they saw the game did look marginally better than something that was a last generation GTA IV. But no, they will not admit that they practice this or actively downgrade a game. It is much easier to say they removed things for stability which is often a lie as you can tell by the post-issues which are expected in any production we do.

Also to answer your 3rd question, no…they will never fully disclose what was removed from what build as no laws ask them to do so in terms of consumer rights. If we as developers published that information in very real terms for the consumer such as “Replaced particle fog simulation with 2d layer simulation in 3d space, removed particles from all explosions, lowered explosion volume multiplier by 20x, removed X # of trees and civilians, etc.” we would be out of a lot of sales and probably it would actually require too much time to deliver on the current hype that a lot of downgraded games see which look incredible with a vertical slice. I do share this in the hope’s that my colleagues and publishers and a lot of people who make false promises and do demonstrations which wrongfully create too much hype that they cannot deliver on ultimately stop doing such things. I want to see the industry actually move forward and not be so full of itself by promising too much and delivering too little. Regards”
