Last week, we informed you about the possible release date for Homefront: The Revolution. And it appears that this rumour was legit. Deep Silver confirmed today that its open-world FPS will be released on May 17th. In order to celebrate this announcement, Deep Silver released a new trailer that can be viewed below. Enjoy!

Thought they would have learned from the last game, kinda sad to see that it will be a failure again.
Shallow uninspired arcade cookie-cutter shooter with a terrible story and forgettable characters.
looks like you are from future…last game was not bad..
5.5 user score on Metacritic by PC players
yeah trailer suggest forgettable story, let’s hope it will have a good story, but probably not 🙁
Older trailers are even worse, the long gameplay that showed the bikes looked terrible, far cry clone.
FYI different devs this time
Last game was a stupid shooter, this one is open world action game with RPG elements, like Far Cry but not stupidly boring and samey, Hate far cry games.
This one has a big potential, it just uses the original Name and backstory.
Has a strong Infamous Second Son feel, just without the superpowers.
I’m still not convinced it’s actually open world. Wouldn’t be surprised if at the beginning of the game the entire map is closed off and then you unlock “hubs” one by one. Hubs with loading times inbetween. Also once you’ve “liberated” an area I expect there to be nothing to do in it so you won’t really go back to hubs you’ve already dealt with.
Yawn
Is it just me or do the graphics look downgraded compared to what we’ve seen before?
Severely. It was either typical “vertical slice” or quality slipped between passing of the torch. Shame, as it looked very cool. This trailer is as generic and uninspiring as they come. Hoping the game plays well but I won’t be pre-ordering.
The last time they showed the game at some convention it already looked like this, or worse actually.
You people are ridiculous. The game looks fine. It’s like this website is a magnet to all the “nay sayers”. Well… “The Nay Sayers say Nay.” Sim City 2000.
Opinions. We all have them.
Looks great, gonna play it on PC.
Looking forward to finally playing the sequel.
No more Cryengine??
This game is still using CryEngine.
CryEngine games always mention the engine in the trailer I didnt see it in this video
Crytek posted on their facebook about this new trailer, So clearly it is still using their engine.
