I’m very confused by the massive gap between required and recommended… Didn’t Far Cry 4 require more space and higher specs, too? I can’t quite remember.
yeah, i wouldn’t trust ubisoft system requirements, they are known to be misleading
“yeah, i wouldn’t trust -insert company name- system requirements, they are known to be misleading.”
Fixed!
They probably just optimized the engine. Assassin’s Creed Syndicate runs better than Unity and it came out later.
yeah and it looks worse than unity.
requierement is tergetted 720p user
and recomended is for 1080p user dude.
i hate stupid pc gamer who think all people in the world already using minimal 1080p.
Well sorry. I wasn’t trying to be offensive or anything. I just didn’t know.
I looked up the specs for Far Cry 4 a second ago. They’re slightly lower than this for the graphics card, but slightly higher for the CPU. and the space required on the hard drive is larger in 4 by 10 gigs. I hope this means that Dunia engine runs better on CPUs now. I didn’t examine performances in 4, but some friends complained about stuttering and pop-in. I hope this is a great game, even though I’m not particularly interested. I hope every game is great, admittedly.
Stuttering was an issue in Far Cry 3 as well and something Ubisoft really needs to get under control. Pop-in though – pop-in will always exist in open world games. Presented with the choice between last-gen graphics all the way to the horizon or current-gen graphics up close, then last-gen at a distance and PS2 graphics at the horizon gamers will always buy the latter so that’s what developers are forced to create. Personally I love when a gameworld is seamless, when I can for instance zoom and there is no difference in quality, but you don’t sell copies that way. Games are sold via youtube trailers and super-sampled screenshots. The foreground is all that matters for marketing.
well looks like i dont need to upgrade my gtx 660 sc this year..lol
i think it will be a good PC game like Far Cry 3
Not too long ago, i thought 20 gigs is crazy high for a game and look at us now. 20 gigs seems almost nothing when i got games like GTA 5.
I remember some early last-gen games managed to exceed 15 GB. It was ludicrous then and it’s still not necessary now. 20 GB are still extreme. I bet there are once again uncompressed audio files and similar nonsense involved. There always are. If you look at the diversity of assets in FC3 or 4, they don’t contain more unique textures or models than your average linear FPS. You can see precisely how many there are and how high their resolution is if you use the editor. Granted, this new game isn’t coming to last-gen consoles so texture resolutions should generally be higher. But that’s about it.
In terms of performance the specs are very reasonable though. No arbitrary high RAM requirement, very generous to older GPUs and even CPUs. If these specs will actually run the game that’s an accomplishment.
These f..king geniuses makes a Far Cry game set in the f..king stoneage! Good thing its a spin off and not a proprerly named FAR CRY 5. Nothing but to avoid here.
a far cry in a different is what im excited about.seams like all you care about is the guns.i didnt even use guns in far cry 4 unless i had to.i did bow and throwing knife.i did the stealth play through as much as possible.
give this game a chance it will challenge you far cry game play that you are used to.
Please enjoy the game! Its just not for me, ok.
