Capcom has revealed the official PC requirements for Street Fighter V. As the Japanese company noted, the minimum specs are what is required for SFV to even run on your PC while the recommended specs (in bold) are necessary to achieve an optimal SFV experience. The minimum is pretty much what provides console level experience in most games. Somehow I dont understand the 6 -8 GB in ram. I hope these arent the final requirements and that they list AMD as well, Somehow I doubt this game will require a lot of horse power if the PS4 can run this game.
“Somehow I doubt this game will require a lot of horse power if the PS4 can run this game.”
If this game was running on DX12 then I understand, but it’s DX11. PS4 has low-level API, not DX11.
That doesn’t change the fact that a GTX750ti can run a dx11 game at the same graphic quality with better performance, if its well optimized.
If you look at the hardware required to mimic performance of a PS4 youre looking at an 4th gen i3 and a somewhere between an R7 260X and a GTX 750Ti, which in mosts countries sits around the price of a console.
That said even with its low level api the ps4 is not all that amazing in the performance or graphics area, and if you look at what it required to run USFIV at a stable 60fps, youre looking at a very low performance laptop/desktop.
Im starting to get a bit less cynical about this game, but still. Inaccurate and inflated requirements confuse people and have them needlessly upgrade when its not needed.
My guess? And this is a huge uneducated guess, is that the RAM is being used as a cache to store rollback data to resolve lag disputes in network play (faster than local storage). Total guess though.
That could very well be an accurate explanation. HOWEVER, this is a japanese developer, so it could just be bad optimization. It will remain to be seen, something tells me 4gb will run this game just as well as 6gb.
TBF Capcom has a strong track record with good PC ports. And I wouldn’t put it past western developers to put at shoddy PC games. After all, Ubisoft practically build their brand around it.
broadband internet required, always online drm? for a fighting game? lmao
how ya gonna play with people if you don’t have internet connection? you wanna play over a 56K modem, or do you just want to buy the game just to play the 1 player mode your whole life?
The most announced feature of SF V is the crossplay with PS4, so its better to say you need a broadband connection before some dumb comes to say “the online sucks”.
that doesn’t mean it’s always online
What many people don’t understand yet and I do’t see why Capcom does not mention this is… the 480 spec is for 1080p 60fps. And the 960 is 4K 60fps
Exactly this. My 970 gets 192 fps on Ultra street fighter 4 max settings 4K DSR
yeah that’s with that benchmark. But even at 4K DSR during gameplay your CPU is only using about 15 too 25% depending on your cpu and your 970 is around 33% usage.
Also SF5 will be UR4 and that more of a optimized engine then MT Framework that was modified for SFIV on arcade/console/PC
Sagat = OP…my a$$.
At least release a muay fighter…
if not i aint getting it!

Meh… this thing should run on a high end APU
i’m currently boosting an overclocked i5 2500k. Everything else is over the recommended specs. Will I be alright?
