Dark Souls III Releases In April 2016 – New Screenshots & Gameplay Trailer

Bandai Namco today announced the release date for Dark Souls III, their highly anticipated action role-playing game from FromSoftware. Dark Souls III will be available throughout North America, South America, and Europe in April 2016 for the PC via Steam.

In order to celebrate this announcement, Bandai Namco released a new set of screenshots and a new gameplay trailer for Dark Souls III.

Dark Souls III will provide players with an all-new world filled with heinous enemies, hidden secrets, and captivating environments as they search to destroy the awakened Lords of Cinder and discover what has happened to this apocalyptic land.

As the press release reads, Dark Souls III pushes a deeper sense of role-playing than previous iterations of the series with key additions that provide players with a set of tools and in-game options to customize their gameplay experience.

“Skills, a new addition to the DARK SOULS combat mechanics, adds attack modifiers to each weapon type, allowing players an increased tactical advantage in combat. Increase an axe’s attack power with War Cry or break an enemy’s guard with a quick upward swing from Ready Stance. The choice of if and when players use these added abilities is up to them. Players will also be able to equip their character with a wide variety of armor sets, medieval weaponry, as well as come across powerful sorceries and miracles as they develop their own personal style of play.”

Enjoy!

  1. Did you guys get a legit confirmation on the PC release window? All other sites are excluding PC or saying PC might come later. I dont know if this is just an agenda thing to ignore PC or PC is really being held for a month or two after the console release.

  2. yay another samey souls game because we didnt have enough already….knockoffs included.

I wonder how long it will be before it goes the way of cod and creed.

    1. Yeah, no kidding. I personally think they should just release them at an one every three to four year time frame. But it is now looking like there will be a Dark Souls game every other year, and a Playstation exclusive spinoff in between the waiting years.

    2. I think it’s more got to do with the fact that series has gotten bigger and From Software has also become more successful. Yes they are being frequent with their releases but think about it, imagine they took 4 years with each souls game. Yes it wouldn’t be milking but the even with a 4 year gap, the game would probably be the same so what’s the point in waiting so long? But I guess it’s time for them to make a new series.

    3. Because it’s brings money, why not?

Besides, people seens to have some strange illusions from From Software.

Check the list of Armored Core games. Its almost as bad than Mario and Sonic.

Expect a few more Dark Souls styled games in the next few years. Until they decide to work on something new.

(Then again Armored Core was/is awesome, From has some great games and developers, sad they milk it a lot until the series die)

  3. I don’t really know honestly. I’m a fan of the series but Dks3 isn’t looking that amazing to me. Dks1 to Dks2 to Bloodborne, there’s many improvements in the combat and gameplay mechanics but Dks3 seems quite small. Will have to see more gameplay but it seems at this point all we can really expect from a DkS game now is a new setting, new enemies and new boss fights.

  4. Gfx look fine, but just like DS 1 and 2.. the pictures and videos didnt really reflect the gfx of the game. The games looked like PS2 sh*t. Still fun to play, but yea..
