  1. This is one of the best surprises in recent memory. I was thinking about replaying KOTOR II recently with the restored content mod, now I will definitely replay it.

  2. This news was like a RKO outta nowhere! I’m stunned!

I can’t wait to get home and play the game.

  3. Wow didn’t expect that, probably did it because of the upcoming movie. How about another replay…

  4. The resolution thing is nice, since you can downsample. I imagine it would work via Gedosato. Hopefully they do the same for KOTOR 1.

  5. Can’t wait for this patch to land at GOG, I never got any of the widescreen mods to work for this.

Also hoping that KOTOR 1 gets an upgrade of this type.

  6. i loved the first kotor but i hated the reusing of older levels in kotor 2. i don’t remember if i’ve finished it. Jade Empire should get a remaster

  7. Widescreen support was actually the biggest problem of this game. The .exe file from the Steam version is encrypted, and you can’t edit it with a hex editor to set a proper resolution.

Pirates cracked it eventually (it’s not like they couldn’t do it, they just didn’t care much), but until 2014, if you wanted widescreen, you had to use an older version of the .exe file, which means some old bugs.
