  1. If it gets a boxed release im so gonna buy it. idc if preordering is bad, ive wanted a new tales since vesperia that wasnt playstation exclusive so bad 🙁

  2. I played it on the Gamecube, own it on the PS3, but if priced right (and improved upon the existing HD edition), might get the Steam version as well. That’s how good this game is. It’s so good my wallet hurts.

  3. Amazing news, I just hope it’ll be 60fps like the original Gamecube release, and not 30 like the PS2 port and the PS3 version based on it.

    1. If it could run fine in 60fps to begin with then I see no reason why the PC version couldn’t be at least 😛 We know it’s not going to be game-breaking at least.

      1. Well, there technically wasn’t a reason why the PS3 version shouldn’t have been 60fps either, so yeah. Although I guess easier to get away with such sloppiness with a console audience, especially the JRPG crowd which already more or less gobbles up whatever they can get. It’s an instant sales and interest killer on PC, though…

Not sure whether the PS2 > PS3 version is actually capable of being ran at 60fps, I just hope they can make it work properly, so we don’t end up with another Toukiden Kiwami situation on our hands.

Most fans are more than willing to wait longer if the promise of 60fps necessitates the developer/porting studio going back to the Gamecube version first, and Namco-Bandai should be as well if they want to see healthy sales here.

  4. i hope tier 3 gets unlocked soon so i can jump in. also perhaps people can start tweeting bamco asking them to clarify if it’s 60FPS on pc.

  5. I would have much rather preferred vesperia than this mediocre game. I wrote my thoughts on my blog(which is now abandoned) about the game, those who are interested can read: http://dedicateddarkgamer.blogspot.com
scroll down a bit and you should find it. Well, at-least with this there is now more hopes on the rest of the tales series, the good games like vesperia and xilia eventually getting ported.

      1. Absolutely! Just thinking about the game brings back so many memories. I was like shooting a guy and then another guy shot back at me, so I shot back at him and suddenly explosion and a tree fell and so I ran away and got run over by a truck and died. *Sniff* so good it brings tears to my eyes.
