During PC Gaming E3 2015 conference, EIDOS Montreal has revealed a new tech demo video for Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, showing off some of the key features of the Dawn Engine. Deus Ex: Mankind Divided will support Microsoft’s DirectX 12 as well as AMD’s TressFX. Enjoy!

    1. DX12 is mostly about multi-core performance, isn’t it? The performance improvements should allow for more/ better/ more pixel-accurate effects, I’d imagine.

      1. DX12 doesn’t change anything, POM, SSR, volumetric fog were used in Crysis a long time ago on thew PC. This could have all been done in Deux HR except for probably TressFX but that’s not their tech.

    1. They used pretty fat strands so it looks very similar to HairWorks in Witcher. I prefer how crystal dynamics used that. Though we do not know performance implication.
      Overall it is solid improvement since Human revolution.
      Deus Ex never had highest end visual and always run very well even on mediocre PCs, so I’d expect they trying to hold that tradition. In that case visual is superb.

  1. It doesn’t look that bad, actually. Besides some blurry textures and lack of AA, the effects look quite nice.
