During PC Gaming E3 2015 conference, EIDOS Montreal has revealed a new tech demo video for Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, showing off some of the key features of the Dawn Engine. Deus Ex: Mankind Divided will support Microsoft’s DirectX 12 as well as AMD’s TressFX. Enjoy!

thats what i was tolking about
DX 12 hype!!
Looks amazing!
Looks really good but none of that tech is new, Crysis 2 DX11 called :p
Pure Hair and Pure Material at the end ? I don’t know what Pure Material is though XD
Most likely physically based rendering of materials.
DX12 is mostly about multi-core performance, isn’t it? The performance improvements should allow for more/ better/ more pixel-accurate effects, I’d imagine.
DX12 doesn’t change anything, POM, SSR, volumetric fog were used in Crysis a long time ago on thew PC. This could have all been done in Deux HR except for probably TressFX but that’s not their tech.
In before our resident troll Olek says it looks horrible.
That looked great. Especially the hair!
They used pretty fat strands so it looks very similar to HairWorks in Witcher. I prefer how crystal dynamics used that. Though we do not know performance implication.
Overall it is solid improvement since Human revolution.
Deus Ex never had highest end visual and always run very well even on mediocre PCs, so I’d expect they trying to hold that tradition. In that case visual is superb.
Looks nice!
Hope the actual game looks this good at release…
if the final game does indeed look like that ill just scream histerically
Downgrade incoming 😀
Guys add this in your article. Extended gameplay. Looks epic.

Thanks for the link.
It doesn’t look that bad, actually. Besides some blurry textures and lack of AA, the effects look quite nice.
I’m happy with the features. Let’s hope they all make it in the game.
