Lords of the Fallen: Ancient Labyrinth DLC Announced, Game Has Sold 200K Copies This Far

CI Games and Deck13 announced today that their action RPG Lords of the Fallen will be getting a campaign expansion. Titled Ancient Labyrinth, this expansion will tie in directly with the main game, taking players to a new location called “The Library,” which is reached via a locked door found in the main game.

This expansion also introduces a puzzle-based mechanic, and will pit players against a new magical being who changes his powers mid-battle.

New weapons, armors, and NPC-based side quests will also be featured into this upcoming experience.

Furthermore, executive producer Tomasz Gop told Eurogamer that CI Games has sold 200K copies of the game, and has shipped 700K units to retailers.

There is currently no ETA or price for this upcoming campaign expansion, but we’ll be sure to keep you posted.

Oh, and in case you’re wondering, our PC Performance Analysis will go live later next week!

  1. Bit of an insult announcing this when the game is still CTD for a lot of people and/or is just generally running like s**t. For me, it’s been OK since the last patch, but others are still suffering. At least fix the base game before announcing DLC devs.

    1. yeah :)) and on three platforms not even one pirated copy. too bad, all i’m hearing is how bad it optimized and how buggy it is, instead of fixing it, they want to release an expansion

    2. Id like to know if thats pc sales or total sales, if they are total sales thats pathetic.

      HUR DUR PIRACY

Yeah no most of the pirates wouldnt buy the game, they can try it for free so hey do it.

Garbage drm to force some people to buy it wont work. If anything it causes some people from he other side to refuse to buy it for the anti consumer stance just like it happen with ac2 and sim city.

  2. Good for them. Looks like a solid start for a new franchise.

I have to say the picture above made me think the guy in red as War from Darksiders fighting one of the Assassins from AC who is protecting the demon from Dungeon Master.

    1. yeah it has that darksiders style, as yantzee called it “as if someone started drawing the main character and never stopped”

      1. It would be great to see Darksiders done in a more realistic way instead of the cel shaded graphic they’ve used. Nothing wrong with cel shading(I like how it is used in Loadout) but bright cartooney graphic and post-apocalyptic hell doesn’t feel right to me.

        1. I doubt it and here is why, darksiders 2 costed 50 milion, the new studio said “thats too much we can do the same with far less” Now i dont know about you but i highly doube they gonna make the graphics reallistic, they looking to save money.

  3. Before the patch, it seemed like running steam in offline mode solved the issue ( 8 hours without crashing, then first time i played in online mode crashed pretty quickly ).

Now it just seems to crash regardless.

  4. It was supposed to sell over 1 million copies by now , just on PC because there are no pirated copies and since PC gamers are pirates , this DRM was supposed to fix everything . Too bad , facts are quite different and those facts are related to quality of the game and marketing.

    1. Did they set a goal of 1 million somewhere? Also if this is on all systems… then i fear for the games industry more than i fear for piracy.

    2. sad part is, this is their first game and with that strategy and attitude (selling more broken expansions instead of fixing the existing one) i don’t see any successful future for them

  5. You assuming devs nowdays care about those things.. Nope they make the game and then the dlc, in the worlds of arkham city origins devs “we will not patch the game further we are working on dlc”
