Half Life fans, get ready for a treat. YouTube’s member ‘quadrazid’ has finished this classic FPS title in twenty minutes. Yeap, this can be considered the fastest speedrun of Half Life, featuring some new tricks. It looks epic, so make sure to give it a go. Enjoy!

You are not alone
DAT strafe jump
i have no words!
Man this is just crazy strafe jumping skillz…I can’t even last 5 seconds!
reporting this like it’s an actual speedrun, it is not… they are not controlling it half the time
LOL! I didn’t know Freeman was Spider-man. Excellent wall climbing skills!
It´s scripted run, not controlled and it´s not one person but 8 speedrunners.
Hmmm.makes alot more sense!
Your statement is misleading. The run uses some scripts here and there but all character movement and most interactions with the environment are still done in real time with mouse and keyboard. The bhopping is NOT scripted.
There is a commentary video on twitch where quadrazid and coolkid go through the whole run and explain most of the new tricks. Going up stairs (crouch spam) or moving under low ceilings (jump spam) were scripted but these are the exception, not the rule. Another script they use is [180° camera turn + mouse 1 + 180° degree turn] to boost with grenades and the gauss cannon towards the end of the game.
The most vital part of the run is still the bhopping though so while scripts are often used to reach and maintain velocity the player still has to CONTROL that velocity! The player still has to press triggers through walls while wizzing by them at formula 1 speed. The player still has to bunnyhop onto NPCs’ heads and in one case shoot that very head at the same time.
i almost forgot half life has about the same strafe jump acceleration as quake 2
