This May Be Your First Look At The New Assassin’s Creed Title

Kotaku has leaked some new images from what seems to be the next Assassin’s Creed title. This new Assassin’s Creed game will be called – according to the leaked images – Assassin’s Creed: Unity and will be set, at least partly, in 18th-century Paris.

According to Kotaku, Assassin’s Creed: Unity will be coming on current-gen consoles (Xbox One and PS4) and presumably PC. What’s also interesting here is that another Assassin’s Creed game is rumored to be under development for X360 and PS3 (and perhaps PC) that will be called Assassin’s Creed: Comet.

Assassin’s Creed: Unity is said to be set during the French Revolution in which will star an assassin named Arno.

As always, take everything you just read with a grain of salt.

Enjoy the images!

  1. Whoever leaked these shots needs to be fired and it’s probably fake, though a yearly Assassins Creed game milking like CoD wouldn’t surprise me.

  2. Enough with this bloody franchise already! For f*ck sake Ubisoft needs to stop with this sodding stabbin’ bollocks. 7 bloody years with the same thing, move on Ubisoft. (>_<)

    1. No one is forcing you to buy it. There are people out there who still enjoy this franchise… me included.

      1. Enjoy the dumbing down then. The stealth is all but gone because the combat is so easy and you can kill every guard in a few button presses.

The only reason why stealth exists in Black Flag is because they put an automatic fail on the stealth missions, not the fact you’ll get wasted if you get seen or the fact that you can’t be see with your head popping out of the bushes, also, blending in with people is a joke too.

        1. Why did you assume i care so much about stealth? Combat in AC was never hard to begin with. But then again most modern game aren’t hard anyway, never stop me from enjoying em. I don’t mind if they get rid of it all together and move to straight third person fighting, its not exactly a niche genre that will disappear.

          1. Well, AC is mostly about Stealth and the fact you don’t care about it says a lot about your comments and attitude towards the game.

          2. Yea, it said that i enjoy other aspect of the game beside their stealth mechanic.

          3. Not much value in a game then when its main mechanic is bad, it shows all the treasures, items and enemies on the radar. The core of the game is exceptionally bad and shallow you must have low standards.

          4. Must be, good thing there are sophisticated gamer like yourself to decide if a game is good enough to play.

          5. I guess you hate simple gestures in life, and all the small things you can enjoy.. because those are pretty simple too. If something is not perfect in every way, you just dismiss it enitrely, right?

          6. Did you really take that comment seriously? You know, my wife says that if I laugh too much at something that’s simple. It was just an off the cuff comment.

      2. This excuse “no one is forcing you to buy it” is getting on my nerves too. The thing is so overpraise, people put the thing in evidence like it’s the second coming of Jesus.
There’s no evolution in gameplay, the plot is a mess, Uplay is another mess, every f*ckin’ year it’s the same thing: a bloody cash grab (Actually getting worse, less than a year and we already have 5 (HD relaunchs/spin offs)).
C’mon it’s enough of it already, this industry doesn’t need that to survive, they don’t need to be bloody Hollywood, they have the potential to create amazing things but this is going nowere if everyone keeps screaming for the same thing over and over. (>_<)

        1. Why does that get on your nerves? Do you own Ubisoft stock or work for the company? how is the success or failure of this franchise affect you personally? It’s one thing to not like the game, but you want it gone just because you don’t personally like it. Plus, everything you told me is completely subjective. They expanded on naval game-play, plot is no better or worse than previous AC games, I never had a problem with Uplay and it doesn’t matter if they release a new game every month, if i deem the content of worth i’ll still get it either way.

          1. It’s doesn’t affect me personally, but affects the ambient from my joy comes (games industry), I consider myself a consumer supporter (admitedly “new” to being a “supporter”) of the former, so when things aren’t going well, I’m consider myself in the right to complain about it.
Then you assume I just complain because I don’t like the games (or franchise this case). WRONG and I explain: I liked the first game, A LOT despise all the flaws (and this games has inumerous) I consider it a classic in it’s own right. Then came the second game, improved everything gameplay wise, a joy to play and I liked it too (althoug still like the 1st one atmosphere more), but then the end of game came, plot mess, cliffhanger, sequel on the horizon. Then Brotherhood (a.k.a AC 2.5), everything shatters for me. Plot is going nowhere, gameplay it’s repetitive, f this. Then Revelations (AC 2 2.75), then AC 3 naval gimmick, then AC4 let’s make a pirate game but use our franchise name on it to sell, then what’s gonna be next? Plot is subjective to taste? Yes. Still a mess? Absolutely. Oh, you never had a problem with Uplay, so then the service (a bloody DRM) it’s good?
You feel the need to support it? Good have fun.
I do not, so I say: To hell with this damn game, and F* Ubisoft for exploring joy for coin.

          2. Yeah,i agree. They messed up the main plot, almost all of them were repetitive, combat is way too easy, stealth is a joke really but it’s that kind of game that i just want to relax with. I just like to light up some weed and enjoy it for what it is.Revisiting some amazing periods from our history(they did a great job with historical facts/background in every game, there was always a moment when i was like “Wait a minute i know this!” xD) and there isn’t many, well there isn’t ANY Action Adventure game like this and they deserve my respect just for that.

          3. I’ve only counter your example to show that other don’t feel the same way, not to bring up who’s opinion is correct. I don’t find the plot to be a “mess” as many other. Uplay hasn’t given me any trouble and it’s a DRM no different than Steam. Whether these type of services are good or bad is irrelevant to the subject at hand.

There’s no need for backpedaling, you’ve clearly stated that you wish this franchise to be gone. I’m simply curious why you would deprive other of a game you won’t be buying and doesn’t affect you in any real way.

          4. DRM it’s bad, there’s no subjectivity in that. Steam it’s bad, Uplay it’s bad, Origin it’s bad. I feel that I’m not buying a game, I’m buying a license to utilize a service.

I’m not backpedaling in any way. I like the franchise untill the point it became a thing that it’s used to exploit. Look over this last gaming decade. New promising franchises, fancy graphics, the gaming as a media better than ever, what happens? Repetition, exploitation, greed. I’m okay, have fun playing it, I know you and a lot of people will. I think it’s wrong to keep supporting it.
I reiterate, doesn’t affect me personally or directly, but it’s affecting the environment around, that’s the problem.

          5. A bit of a stretch, but i guess i can bite it. I haven’t really pay much attention to the DRM issue recently so i’ll leave it up to your judgement.

I don’t think the problem you mentioned are any worse than it was decades ago. Game mechanic seem to be recycle too frequently because the game industry is so large now that it spit out games more frequently than ever before. So gameplay mechanics from previous releases are still fresh on the player’s mind. I can still remember when you have to buy gaming magazine to learn of upcoming releases…and nobody really mind these kind of similarities.

Game development time got shorter due to bigger funding and a larger work force. There were dozen of RPG sequel in the 90’s being more or less carbon copy of its predecessor. This isn’t a new phenomena. Everything is just magnify due to amount of products out there.

          6. Okay, I can agree this isn’t new. But the past isn’t the future. It needs to stop otherwise, oversaturation of the market=crash. There was tech limitation back then, so creativity took place in other aspects. Today it’s the other way around.
Look, maybe I sound too harsh and/or hateful (nagger, annoying, a-hole you choose) the thing is: you said ” (…)why you would deprive other of a game(…)”, with the increase of people supporting the same thing over and over, asking for features that doesn’t even belong to the core game, it is in fact sending the wrong message to the greedy tw@ts: that It’s okay to keep doing that because that is what people want AND its the only thing that is viable to keep doing, everything else becomes niche to the point that it needs large ammounts of money to justify and… wait a minute… where the hell I’ve seen this before?

          7. i cannot agree with you more on the “I feel that I’m not buying a game, I’m buying a license to utilize a service.” thing. I think this is the biggest thing that happened in the games industry so far, the concept of game ownership has been eroded soo much that right now you are not buying games, you are renting access to them. Ovnership means that dvd you got your game on will work on a current gen computer even 20 years from now, with all it’s features. The quake 2 cd i bought in 97, i put it in any computer it installs and runs quake with all features. A game from 97! That is ovnership. Try and play bf3 in 4 years. You will not be able to. Right now you are paying EA to rent access to play bf for as long as EA thinks it is profitable. Games are not products anymore but services and Steam is a big big player in the road to this nonsense.

    2. I enjoyed every game in the series except AC3,that was a huge let down.
4 was really enjoyable(i thought it was going to be a reskin) and they PROMISED that they will change parkour and combat for this one and i really can’t wait to see what have they done.I hope there will be improvement in stealth mechanics, like a crouch button xD and hiding in shadows eeh ?

Lets hope they will deliver with this one and FC4 and Division and The Crew and of course , Watch Dogs.

      1. I fear that Watch Dogs will be the same as AC. I still consider myself on the hype, I want to play it so much (same with The Division), but I dont, I can’t trust Ubsoft. They are exploiting joy, it’s nasty.

F*ck! I absolutely love playing videogames but the hate towards the industry goes against everything.

        1. WD was in development for 5 years,it better be good xD
From what i read and watched, game has huge potential,it looks like something new and different.

You have to admit, there is plenty of hate out there these days, way too much .I’m not defending them, nope, but also there is no reason for “instant bash”.
They are doing their best to deliver a great game.Sure,it would be better if they had more time for development,i really don’t like annual releases but if it is a good game, i will play it.

          1. Agreed, there is over the top hate. Hell I consider myself an annoying person when came to complain about things. But just because I feel that if nobody complain (wisely) nothing will change. And it’s not blind hate towards the devs or towards a game, it’s towards the over the top marketing, the lies, the greed. We don’t need that.

        2. same, if watchdogs could come out and look and run good and be a solid game, that will be great if it sells and we can get 3 watchdogs games, that will be amazing.

      2. they also said its gonna be ac3.5 and not just ac3.

Still better than most games that year.

Also so many people worked on that game that a dev didnt even knew there was lockpicking in that game, too many people work on those games so its a mess

    3. what? You want an story ending too? Ubisoft has so many people employed on those games that they dont even know wtf is going on anymore.

A ac3 dev said the had no idea there was lockipicking in the game, so many people work on those games that whats in them is lost in development.

  3. milkingme creed… here we go again…
this devs are a pain already… they need to leave alone the creed serie. for a long time. for real

  4. wow, does terrains, lol, it’s new to ubisoft to first leak the ugliest version of their games.
by the way not suprised, every year two Asscreed games, if watchdogs sells well then every year a new watchdogs game or in one case every two years one asscreed game and every two years one watchdogs game, farcry4 is in development, then every two years a new far cry game, again every year a new tom clancy game. but it’s only names, the gameplay in most of them looks the same, and they played the same. but for now i don’t have anything bad to say about them, some of them are actually good games

    1. i dont think watchdogs got downgraded i bet what we saw was last gen footage.

I am excited and cautions about watchdogs.

At one hand they say you can hack everything and there are 100 hours of gameplay in it and its nonlinear and ubisoft says they didnt fake anything.

On the other hand its ubisoft which means the trailers they showed are nothing like the game and the pc version will be full of bugs and control issues.

I put my money on wolfenstein.

      1. i don’t know, that footage was from PS4 and they comfirmed it, but maybe the game looks cool on rainy nights ? 😀 or maybe PC version is still as good as E3 2012.

but i’m excited too, downgraded or not i like modern day, open world games and it’s on my list too.

  5. I think his one will be named: “Call of Assassin´s: Fifafield 10”

Seriously…the game is good and all but really these guys release a game and then announce the other at the next day almost.

  6. This time around they gotta seriously implement some innovations for me to be even remotely interested. Played two hours of Black Sails and already bored. Do something new instead of milking this franchise to the extreme.

    1. what haahah so funny, you want an story ending with that too? Here at ubisoft we talking your feedback very seriously when we copy and paste games and make dlc.

Joking aside a ac3 dev said he didnt even know the game had lockpicking, they get so many people working on those games to make them on time, that its a huge mess that no one knows just wtf is in the game anymore.
