Gran Turismo 7 is a game that a lot of PC gamers would love to play on PC. And from the looks of it, this will be possible very soon. The best PlayStation 5 emulator, KyTyPS5, can boot and run Gran Turismo 7.
YouTube’s ‘Unreal Gaming PC’ has shared a video showcasing Gran Turismo 7 running on a custom build of KyTyPS5. To capture this gameplay footage, the YouTuber used an AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D with 64GB of RAM and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080.
Gran Turismo 7 runs at 17-25 FPS on KyTyPS5. The custom build that was used was the “usa-ratt d5bb89e”, which you can download from here.
What’s also impressive is that there aren’t any major graphical issues. I’m not certain GT7 is being emulated perfectly yet, but from what I’ve seen, it’s really close to the real PS5 version. And that’s with the game running at 20 FPS. This is mighty astonishing, no matter how you look at it.
It also appears that KyTyPS5 can boot and run UFC 6. The game does not appear to run at playable frame rates. Still, this is another PS5 game that can go in-game with KyTyPS5.
Demon’s Souls Remake has also received performance improvements and optimizations. The game now runs better than ever on KyTyPS5. Below you can find a video showcasing 16 minutes of gameplay. And, as you will see, the game constantly runs above 60 FPS.
Another custom build for KyTyPS5 can also boost GTA 5’s performance. I don’t really know why anyone would want to play the PS5 version, as the game is already available on PC. In fact, the PC version looks way better than the PS5 version. Still, this is a huge deal for emulating PS5 games. It may also be helpful for emulating GTA 6 when it comes out.
All in all, I’m really impressed by what the KyTyPS5 team has done. Yes, they used AI tools to help build the emulator. And yes, some games need custom builds. But I’ve never seen an emulator improve this fast. So, I don’t mind that they used AI to help them make it.
Enjoy and stay tuned for more!
