Yesterday, we informed you about an upcoming version of the RenoDX Mod that enables NVIDIA DLSS 5 in CONTROL. And today, we get our first look at Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 with DLSS 5. Not only that, but modder “PureDark” was also able to enable DLSS 5 in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.
Let’s start with Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. This is the first time we see this game with DLSS 5. And although we don’t have a before/after comparison, I have to say that I like everything I see in this shot. Kudos to our reader “Psycho” for sending this image.
It’s also important to note that KCD2 runs really well on PC. As such, it will be a great game to enhance with DLSS 5. As I’ve reported, the performance hit of DLSS 5 appears to be around 40-45% on an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090. At least in its current unofficial version.
Then we have The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. Modder “PureDark” was able to enable it and shared a video of it. As with the RenoDX Mod, this is still in an experimental state. So, no. You can’t download and experiment with it. You’ll have to wait a little bit.
In this video, PureDark shows off numerous characters with and without DLSS 5. Again, this is an unofficial version of this tech. So, make sure to keep that in mind while watching it.
It’s pretty crazy what modders have already achieved. This whole thing started the moment NBA 2K27 leaked the DLL files for DLSS 5. And, as we can see, modders wasted no time and forced it into some games.
I know that I’m hijacking this article, and that this deserves a separate article, but the first DLSS 5 Mod has been released. A new version of RenoDX is now out, adding support for NVIDIA DLSS Ray Reconstruction and DLSS 5. This mod is only for CONTROL. You can download it from here.
The reason I’m including the mod in this article is because I don’t want to flood you with lots of DLSS 5 articles. Regarding the mod, this is the first public version of RenoDX with DLSS 5. So, you might encounter some bugs with it. Still, this is something that some of you may find interesting.
NVIDIA plans to release DLSS 5 by the end of 2026. Right now, we don’t have an exact ETA on when it will come out. Naturally, though, we’ll be sure to keep you posted.
Stay tuned for more!
