Pearl Abyss has released Title Update 1.18.00 for Crimson Desert and shared its full patch notes. So, let’s see what this new update brings to the table.
Patch 1.18.00 makes several changes and fixes. Research now uses camp funds instead of silver. The patch also adds Quests as a new knowledge category. It fixes an issue where merchants did not appear at trading stalls in some cases. It also fixes a bug that could cause the pensive statue to return to its broken state while working on the quest at Jijeong Temple. The patch also improves the wording of some boss knowledge entries. Finally, it updates the stable so players can now equip horse gear there.
Update 1.18.00 also comes with some combat tweaks and changes. For instance, it adds new options for “Lock-on Camera Rotation”. It improves an issue where certain special mounts would get stuck when trying to cross low ledges. It also fixes an issue where you could not lock on to targets with a ranged weapon while riding a mount in certain situations, as well as an issue where the player could not climb through windows even when there were no obstacles.
Furthermore, Patch 1.18.00 fixes some graphical issues. To be more precise, it fixes an issue where indoor lighting effects were unstable in certain situations. It also fixes an issue where the camera would jitter or shake when controlled in low-FPS conditions. Plus, it fixes an issue where rendering would appear corrupted when FSR Frame Generation or XeSS Frame Generation was enabled on certain low-end graphics cards, including GTX 1060.
As always, Steam will download this update the next time you launch its client. Below, you can also find its full patch notes.
