Satellite Odyssey Jupiter feature

Satellite Odyssey: Jupiter Is a New Sci-Fi Survival Horror Noir Game, Inspired by Bioshock: Infinite

Antifreeze Games has shared a trailer for its upcoming sci-fi survival horror noir game, Satellite Odyssey: Jupiter. This new indie game appears to draw visual inspirations from Bioshock: Infinite, so if you are a fan of it, you should definitely check it out.

In this game, players will assume the role of May. May’s design will immediately remind you of Elizabeth from BioShock: Infinite. The game’s environments also look BioShock-ish. So, while it may not have BioShock’s gameplay mechanics, it certainly has identical visuals.

Players will face a wide variety of enemies, ranging from mutated cockroaches hungry for human flesh to seductive androids. However, like many modern games, Satellite Odyssey: Jupiter also allows players to take a stealthier approach. This means you can avoid encounters you’re not prepared for, helping you conserve valuable resources.

You will be able to search the station for weapons, tools, and experimental equipment. Moreover, you can upgrade and customize your arsenal to match your playstyle. Furthermore, your inventory will be limited. As such, you will have to carefully plan what to take with you.

Satellite Odyssey: Jupiter will also have some puzzles to solve. For instance, you’ll have to unlock locked doors via strange keys and hidden levers. Along the way, you’ll also acquire a multifunctional device capable of controlling machinery, opening secret passages, and turning the environment into a deadly weapon.

Players will also be able to search crime scenes for clues. Using event cards, you can reconstruct what happened, connect the dots, and form your own conclusions. According to the devs, the game will immerse players in a world of political intrigue, broken hearts, and corporate warfare.

In short, this feels like a mashup of BioShock: Infinite with Resident Evil. And, to be honest, it has a lot of potential. So, let’s hope that the devs will take their time and polish it. Because, as you will see in the trailer, it’s a bit rough around the edges.

Antifreeze Games plans to release the game sometime in 2027. Later this month, the team will also hold its first Playtest. You can request access to it via its official Steam store page.

Finally, the devs have shared the game’s official PC system requirements. To run it, you will at least need an Intel i5-4670 or AMD Ryzen 3 2300U with 8GB of RAM and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 or an AMD Radeon RX 5600. The devs recommend using an Intel i7-6800K or an AMD Ryzen 5 PRO 1600 with 16GB of RAM and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 or an AMD Radeon RX 6800.

Enjoy and stay tuned for more!
