NVIDIA has just released a new driver for its graphics cards. The NVIDIA GeForce 595.71 WHQL driver is optimized for Resident Evil Requiem and Marathon. This driver also fixes the fan control issues that were present in the previous driver that NVIDIA immediately took down.
The NVIDIA GeForce 595.71 WHQL driver also fixes a few game bugs and issues. To be more precise, The Ascent: Intermittent will no longer display black bars at the top of the screen on the GeForce RTX 50 Series GPUs. Total War: THREE KINGDOMS will also no longer display green artifacts on the GeForce RTX 50 series GPUs.
The performance of Quantum Break will no longer drop significantly on Act 4 Part 1. So, those who haven’t played that Remedy game can do so now. On top of that, FINAL FANTASY XII The Zodiac Age will be more stable on your PC. NVIDIA has fixed some crashes with fatal errors that could occur after a driver update. Finally, Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2019 will no longer suffer from image corruption issues after a driver update.
As I said, this new driver fixes the fan control issues that were present in the NVIDIA GeForce 595.59 WHQL driver. So, this new driver should be safe to install.
Now, I don’t know if this new driver performs as fast as the old drivers on both the RTX 40 and 50 series GPUs in Resident Evil Requiem with Path Tracing. As I’ve reported, older drivers could run the game faster. I might download the 576.88 driver to see if the performance of this new driver is similar on the NVIDIA RTX 5090.
Anyway, those interested can go ahead and download this new driver from this link. Below, you can also find its full changelog.
Stay tuned for more!
