Game Science has released a new video, showcasing six minutes of new in-engine footage from Black Myth: Zhong Kui. This video can give you an idea of what the devs can create with the latest version of Unreal Engine 5.
As the devs noted, this video was made as a Year of the Horse Special. This content is non-canon and for entertainment purposes only. In other words, it does not represent the quality of the game.
Black Myth Zhong Kui will be a single-player action role-playing game. It will draw its primary creative inspiration from the famed Chinese folk figure “Zhong Kui”.
There is still no ETA for when this new Black Myth game will come out. In fact, Game Science has not even launched a store page for this game on Steam or the Epic Games Store. So, don’t expect to be playing it anytime soon.
To be more precise, when Game Science announced Black Myth Zhong Kui back in August 2025, the only thing it had was a CG trailer and nothing more. As the devs stated back then, the project was little more than an empty folder at that stage. There wasn’t any in-game footage to share when they announced. So, since this is the first in-engine video we get, this video is our first look at the world the devs aim to create.
Enjoy!
