Metal Gear Solid Delta Snake Eater feature-2

Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater Patch 1.2.2 Released & Detailed

Konami has released Title Update 1.2.2 for Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater and shared its full patch notes. So, let’s see what this new update brings to the table.

Patch 1.2.2 mainly brings fixes and changes to the FOX HUNT. To be more precise, it changes the field condition to always be foggy in Sacred Garden. It increases damage dealt by headshots, and it adjusts spawning positions in Sacred Garden. It also adjusts the matchmaking requirements.

And that’s basically it. It does not pack any major fixes or improvements for the main game. Virtuos Games claimed that there are some minor bug fixes and adjustments. However, you should not expect much from them.

This means that you’ll still need to use MGSDeltaFix to unlock the framerate. In my opinion, this is a must-have mod that everyone should use. I’ve finished the game and I fully enjoyed it with the unlocked framerate. This fix does not break the game’s physics or speed. So, it’s really funny to see a modder achieve something that its devs couldn’t.

Moreover, Virtuos Games hasn’t added a setting to enable Hardware Lumen within the game. This means that PC gamers will still have to edit the config file to enable it. I should note, though, that Hardware Lumen will crash the game during your fight with Volgin. So, make sure to disable it once you reach that point.

Finally, Virtuos hasn’t made any performance improvements to the PC version. And, at this point, I don’t really expect to see any performance patch for PC. It sucks, but it is what it is. The good news is that if you have a high-end PC system, you will be able to enjoy it. The performance issues arise when you have a mid or low-tier PC and you don’t want to use DLSS or FSR.

Like always, Steam will download this patch the next time you launch its client. Below, you can also find its complete changelog.
