NVIDIA has released a new driver for its graphics cards. According to the release notes, the NVIDIA GeForce 581.29 WHQL driver offers optimal performance in Borderlands 4 and Dying Light: The Beast. So, it would be wise to upgrade your driver if you are planning to play them.
This driver packs only one additional fix. To be more precise, it fixes some performance issues in Marvel Rivals that surfaced with the previous 581.xx drivers. And that’s it. No other game fix.
NVIDIA has also confirmed that Borderlands 4 will support DLSS 4 with Multi-Frame Gen. Dying Light: The Beast will also support DLSS 4 with MFG. So, this will be good news for those owning a high-end RTX-50 series GPU. Dying Light: The Beast will use numerous Ray Tracing effects. Similarly, Borderlands 4 wil lbe using Unreal Engine 5’s Lumen. So, you will need all the best you can get to run them with high framerates on 4K/Ultra.
NVIDIA has not commented on the visual artifacts players have been getting in other UE5 games. Right now, there are major artifacts in Mafia: The Old Country and Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater with the 581.08 and 581.15. I have not installed this new driver yet, so I don’t know if those artifacts are still present. If you experience them after installing them, I suggest rolling back to the 580.88 WHQL driver.
Like always, you can download this new driver from NVIDIA’s official website. Below, you can also find its complete changelog.
