Avatar Frontiers of Pandora feature

Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora Will Get Third-Person and New Game+ Modes This December

Now here is a pleasant surprise. Ubisoft has just revealed that Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora will get a third-person mode and a New Game+ this December. To celebrate this announcement, the team has shared a new trailer that you can find below.

Now I don’t know why it will take Ubisoft almost five months to add these two features in the game. Still, the fact that they are still supporting it is good news for those who have purchased it.

Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora was one of the best-looking games that came out on PC in 2023. Powered by the Snowdrop Engine, this new Avatar game looked absolutely stunning.

What’s kind of funny is that the game still doesn’t support NVIDIA DLSS Frame Generation. In the last update, Ubisoft added support for Intel XeSS. But at the same time, they made the AMD FSR 3 version worse. Back then, the devs said they had to downgrade it so they could look into some visual problems. And now, three months later, they still haven’t fixed it.

I really don’t know why they haven’t added support for NVIDIA DLSS Frame Gen. It makes no sense. Unless there was a hidden deal with AMD. Other Ubisoft games support both DLSS Frame Gen and FSR Frame Gen. So, why is this particular game only using FSR Frame Gen?

Anyway, Ubisoft hasn’t shared the changelog for this update. My guess is that we’ll get it once we get closer to its release. Until then, enjoy the following trailer!

  1. "Now I don’t know why it will take Ubisoft almost five months to add these two features in the game."

That's because to mark the title's second anniversary in December. The game came out in Dec 7 2023.

That's why this new update (alongside the new features), is coming to all versions of Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora on December 5, 2025 as well.

    Hence the 5 month gap/wait.

Apart from that, the devs/UBI also wanted to time this update to release alongside the theatrical premiere of the movie "Avatar: Fire and Ash", which falls on December 19.

    1. No one cares. I'm not stupid and I don't deserve to be blocked. I deserve love and compassion..

  2. Got this free with my 7800x3d and still haven't touched it. Was planning on playing it soon but not any more. Glad I waited!
