STALKER 2 Update 1.5.1 Now Available, Full Patch Notes Detailed

GSC GameWorld has just released Title Update 1.5.1 for STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl and shared its full patch notes. So, let’s see what this new patch brings to the table.

Patch 1.5.1 focuses on fixing some issues that plagued the game. It will not improve the game’s overall performance. It will also not reduce the hitches players have been experiencing while exploring its world. So, don’t expect much from it in terms of performance.

This new update fixes an issue when some NPCs didn’t go to shelter in offline mode during Emission. It also fixes an issue when an NPC’s corpse could fly away after killing them with a headshot. There was also an issue that could cause NPC corpses to get misplaced after picking them up for the second time. This has been fixed, too. Plus, the patch fixes an issue when NPCs could get stuck walking in one place.

Patch 1.5.1 fixes two crashes that were causing the game to crash with an EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION error. This means the game should now run more smoothly. It also fixes a bug that made the FOV reset to 110 on ultra-wide monitors. The update also stops mutants and NPCs from appearing in areas they shouldn’t. NPCs won’t get stuck together while walking around anymore. Lastly, it fixes a problem where the Windows Scale setting was messing up the game in Fullscreen Borderless and Windowed modes.

Do note that this latest update may not be compatible with the mods we’ve shared. The devs stated that if you experience any performance or stability issues, you should first disable all your mods. So, make sure to keep that in mind.

Like always, Steam will download this patch the next time you launch its client. Below, you can also find its complete changelog.

  1. "It also fixes an issue when an NPC’s corpse could fly away after killing them with a headshot."

is this an issue or a feature?

  2. Every time a patch for this godforsaken game comes out, I look for performance updates and they're never mentioned. They don't give a single fck.
