Shift Up’s community manager has confirmed on the game’s Discord server that a PC demo for Stellar Blade will be released on May 31st. This demo will let you try the game before purchasing it.
In Stellar Blade, you will play as Eve. Eve is on an important mission to save what’s left of Earth. As you explore the world, though, you won’t be alone. Eve will meet and team up with different characters who will help her on her journey. Together, you’ll face big challenges, fight dangerous enemies, and uncover the secrets of this broken world.
The game features fast-paced and exciting combat. That means you’ll be fighting quickly and smoothly, using cool attack combos that look awesome and feel powerful. As you progress, you’ll unlock new moves and improve your weapons, making Eve even stronger.
You’ll also go up against huge and powerful bosses that will truly test your skills. To beat them, you’ll need to use both your brain and your reflexes. You’ll have to think carefully about how to fight and be quick with your actions. Every boss battle will be a mix of strategy and fast action.
The world of Stellar Blade is a ruined version of Earth. It’s full of mystery and danger. As Eve, you’ll travel through these broken lands, uncover the story behind what happened, and fight to bring hope back to the world.
The PC version will come with an HD Texture Pack. Or at least that’s what Shift Up implies on its Steam store page. The devs claim that there will be a 4K option for the environment texture quality that will enrich it. Moreover, you can expect support for ultra-wide monitors.
Stellar Blade is powered by Unreal Engine 4, and it will have uncapped framerates on PC. The game will also support NVIDIA DLSS 4 and AMD FSR 3.0 from the get-go. However, there won’t be any new PC-only Ray Tracing effects.
In theory, the game will look a bit better than the PS5 version. That will be mainly due to the higher-quality textures, shadows and LODs. Still, you shouldn’t expect it to look miles beyond it. So, if you didn’t like its art style or graphics on PS5, you won’t like it either on PC.
It’s also worth noting that Stellar Blade will be using the Denuvo anti-tamper tech. So, I’m curious to see whether the game will suffer from any stutters. My guess is that there will be some traversal stutters, especially with uncapped framerates. To be sure, though, we’ll have to wait one more day until we can test its PC demo.
Sony and Shift Up will release the full version of Stellar Blade on PC on June 11th.
Stay tuned for more!

modders are waiting for this games release the same way a jewish pornographer waits for blonde catholic girls to turn 18.
I'm a gaylord😭
No one cares.
Nice, I want to test it on my ROG Ally Z1E. I remember Shift Up saying they want to optimize it so it can run well on Steam Deck and other PC handhelds.
Gooning on the go
Goon & Run
A demo is all needed to export models for….uh…umm…research and development purposes.
And saying "you shouldn’t expect it to look miles beyond it" ??
Drinks on you John, it already looks miles beyond all the UE5 slops with raytracing released in recent years. That said I'd buy it when it's on discount or denuvo is removed. I want her to grace my PC.
Congrats to all p*rn addict virgins who like to touch little kids.
Congratulating yourself ain't cool bro…
I was talking about weeb pedos like you who consistently play the same type of games that homos and pedos like to play.

Was your father mad that he wasn't the only one to do it?
It's same as asking normal people why they're against pedophiles and whether a pedophile fcked them in the a*s to be so anti pedophilia. You sound like a mentally ill tr4nny and you can't realize it.
Your cringe irrelevant adhd picture that looks cool only to rytarded acne ridden face teenage f4gs like yourself isn't helping you either.
I shoot pedophiles on sight, no child fcking for you diabolical weeb!
TL;DR
Dude, shaming is like 2020. Git good!
This just made me think, I've never ran into a gay dude who feels shame in any way about anything, why is that?
I'm not shaming them for being gay, I'm shaming them for the fact that they pretend they're straight while it's proven anime fans have a high amount of estrogen and a low amount of testosterone and that's exactly why 99.9 percent of lgbt folks love anime.
Dude, if I understood it now, you kinda wrote it off topic so kinda can be confusing. Anyway, yeah. Maps dont feel shame

Says the goat lover…
Call me old fashionedbut I wouldn't put fcking an animal on the same level as fcking little kids.
All these people who are into grooming little kids are big anime fans.
Depression, s*xual depravity, and the interest in anime are highly correlated.
This is why we have a lot of mass shooter tr4nnies who don't beleive in our lord and savior Jesus H. Christ✝️✝️✝️
Anime is great, what do you have against anime?

"I'll start liking anime as soon as I find one decent person who's into that sh*t.
Everything in anime is repulsive, ugly, and cringe to me. All of the protagonists remind me of cringe teenagers who are picked last in team games; they remind me of this guy:
youtubedotcom/shorts/qk8w4sBAjhM?feature=share
And as for the females, they make this ugly, high-pitched sound that's just disgusting to me, probably because they're trying to make it sound like a little kid.
There are also countless other reasons, but I won't get into them for now.
thanks
Thanks!
Remember, the devs of this game were trying to convince us that it runs better with Denuvo than without it…..
Yes, like almost all games, Denuvo does not ruin performance…
Yep, but it doesn't run better with it, you won't dodge the topic…
Pretty! This has been a really wonderful post. Many thanks for providing these details.
The game allows you to turn the Anti-Aliasing off. Thank God for game devs who aren't a**holes.
I've noticed that the games with always on TAA tend to be console ports.
The vast majority of games are console ports. It's been that way for 20+ years at this point.
This game is a console port, and it allows you to turn off the Anti-Aliasing. Probably only because it is an Unreal Engine 4 game. I bet if it was UE5 they wouldn't have an "Off".
Unreal Engine lets you build native ports for each platform instead of having to build for one and then port it further if I'm not mistaken.
You still have to make changes for different platforms. Different shaders for different graphics API's, different menu and control features for PC than for console, different assets for different hardware, etc. Windows and Xbox share the DirectX API and thus use HLSL shaders, but Playstation doesn't use DirectX and has its own shader language, and HLSL shaders also don't work in Vulkan or Metal (Apple). Unreal Engine should have its own versions of shaders for each platform it supports, but any custom shaders the devs would still need to handle themselves.
No sh*t. I’m talking specifically stuff like 1st party Playstation games, i.e. made specifically for a particular hardware spec and ported to PC subsequently. Not a multi-platform title which has a console as the lowest common denominator base to work from.
So is it another unreal engine stutterfest?
Nope. Demo worked perfectly on my hard disk
Nope, made using UE4, NOT UE5!
The number doesn't matter
At least, they removed region lock if nothing else. I dont have and wont waste 70 euros on denuvo. Will have to wait
Finished the Demo not too long ago. I think this game is kinda overhyped. Its just a souls-like with pretty character or like worse Nier Automata. I think Im gonna be waiting for a deep sale on this. The way people were going on about this last year with the petition and awards, maybe I expected too much.
Agreed, other than the hot protagonist, it really doesnt seem to have anything good to offer
Honestly, the MC isn't even "hot" to begin with due to her character modeler being horrible at modeling.
"worse" Nier? Seriously? Its the superior Nier.
Nier is the lamest most idiotic game out there, with SILLY looking unrealistic robots, straight out of children's cartoon
At least this game has great looking monster, great looking NPCs
From the 1 hour of the demo, the game just didnt grab me the same way Nier’s opening hour was much more interesting. The NPCs look good but there has to be more reasons to play a game then just good looking NPCs. The monster’s in the demo were alright but they just look like monsters nothing really special about them. They at least explain why the bots in Nier look the way they do for the most part. I mean worse nier in the best way possible. Nier Automata was like 9/10, this could be like 7 or 7.5 from what I’ve seen. It could possibly be better when I give it a full try but im not expecting much more than just pretty_character_souls_like.exe.
"Make them cute enough to appeal to all sorts of players"
Yeah, thats not something i care about nor looking for in enemies

There is nothing in this game superior to NieR.
People always overrated Playstation exclusive games, they mediocre at best.
Sony fans needs an excuse to buy an overpriced box with outdated hardware.
they have some good games there but yeah they’re just not worth the sticker price more than half the time

i gave it 10 mins, then force quit because the cutscene was boring me

God damnit! Just tried demo. Option to disable AA and upscalers. 80fps on high on my potato, and occasional boobs now and there… They are bloody testing me and my wallet!
Even the demo has Denuvo, f*ck them.
well yeah, because people were able to crack a game by using the demo exe which had no denuvo.
Yeah but those are rare cases. DRM in a demo is just dumb.
Pretty normal. Some devs even use Denuvo when sending early copies to reviewers for testing even though the final game doesn't have it. Stops it from getting distributed online before the actual release date.
I can understand it in early copies for the reasons you say, but a demo is not the complete game, so giving it this kind of protection for something that is free to begin with sounds stupid.
I'm not good at souls like fighting games unless they let me repeat to get stronger along the way. But imo if the game isn't bad then in today's world it's all good.
I don't understand stand the criticism here.
So many AAA games that have come out were a disappointment in one way shape or form.
I don't see that in Stellar Blade at least based on footage I've seen.
I like genre. Not necessarily nitpick every game that comes out to find imperfections.
If people like fighting games they should like this unless they don't care for the cinematic cutscenes scenes because, I don't know, emotions?
Its cool to have just "good" or "fine" games but I don't think the game deserved as much visibility as it had last year for it to be "fine." I feel like it was over-hyped and I expected more from what I played in the demo by the way people were fanboying over it and making petitions.
reminds me of The First Descendant but without the MMO Korean Crap
