Nixxes has just released Title Update 8 for the PC version of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, and shared its full patch notes. So, let’s see what this eighth patch brings to the table.
Update 8 improves performance in areas with trees. Thus, the game should now run better in specific areas. Moreover, this new patch finally addresses the flickering issues that you’d get on character hair when using Ray Reconstruction. So, now, you can safely enable NVIDIA’s RR tech.
Patch 8 also packs a number of visual fixes. For instance, the transition between the wet and dry parts of Spider-Men suit no longer appears pixelated. Plus, the update fixes a bug where AMD users could see rainbow pixelated artefacts with Ray Tracing.
The game should also be more stable than before. Title Update 8 fixes a crash that could occur when exiting the game during vehicle chases. It also fixes a bug that could cause the mouse to become unresponsive after canceling the change character pop-up.
It’s been a while since I last ran Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. Still, it’s at least good to see Nixxes keep supporting it. The PC version came out in January 2025. And, as I wrote in my PC Performance Analysis, the PC port felt a bit rushed. To its credit, Nixxes has fixed a lot of its issues. So, thankfully, this latest version should feel better.

That's been one good thing about all Sony exclusives since the beginning, developers actively taking feedback and fixing stuff with frequent updates. Everyone rushes games but not everyone releases patches frequently.
What's crazy is that some people requested one popular repack to keep the Brazilian unofficial port on their site after they removed it on the release of the official port, because the unofficial one runs better on their PCs. Rather poor release by Nixxes compared to previous ports.
I've stopped playing last of us because of the missing blood effects and they waste their time on this trash instead.
If last of us part 2 wasn't one of my favorite games of all time, I'd have refunded it for sure.

it didnt realy improved the performance much when using Ray Tracing options. Rasterized, the game runs pretty good.

Many parts of the game when only staring or panning around the camera it drops to 93/87 fps instead of maintaining a steady 116fps. Only on the roofs and high above the city the game is with Raytracing holding 116 fps.
