Modder ‘Stutterteturtle’ has released a cool Brutal Mod for Monolith’s classic AvP game, Aliens vs Predator 2. This mod aims to enhance the game’s gore. So, if you want AvP 2 to feel more brutal than before, you should definitely use it.
Going into more details, this Brutal Mod adds blood trails on flesh debris. It also restores the human skull piece, and allows the Pulse Rifle and Smartgun to gib humans and the predator. Plus, the environment debris will now stay visible for a long time.
You can download this mod from this link. At the end of the article, you can also find a video for it. This video will give you a pretty good idea of what you can expect from it, so be sure to watch it.
To be honest, I prefer the first AvP over the second one. AvP came out in 2000 and looked incredible. On the other hand, AvP 2 came out in 2001 and it wasn’t a big visual upgrade over the first AvP. Or at least that’s how I felt when I played it.
Now although I preferred the first AvP, it doesn’t mean that AvP 2 was a bad game. Far from it. In fact, the atmosphere and the pacing of the first level in AvP 2 is off the charts. Sadly, though, the other levels are not as incredible as that first level.
Since Warner Bros has closed Monolith, I highly recommend re-playing this classic AvP game. AvP 2, Shogo, Blood, NOLF 2 and FEAR were the games that made PC gamers fall in love with Monolith. I still can’t believe that Warner Bros has closed this studio. But sadly, the writing was on the wall.
Enjoy!

One of my first games. I loved playing as predator. Still think it's probably the best AVP game along with AVP 2010 and alien isolation.
Guess I'll do my 6th playthrough with this
Does it work with Primal Hunt?
good excuse to replay this game but are there any graphics mods?
A few very old texture mods. Other than that, nope.
Oooh wow!!! The Marine campaign in AvP2 was ridiculously immersive, such a good game! (the other two were kinda meh though).
A GOOD remake of this would be sooo good…
It's been a few years since I played avp2 but I remember the gore to be just like this by default.
Now I'm reinstalling dark descent and alien isolation because I'm in the mood for more alien sh*t.
AVP2 is cool, but i still think rebellion who made alien vs predator 2000 on pc and atari jaguar in 1994 and alien vs predator 2010 are still the best at this.

I've yet to experience something better than avp 2 pvp matches where at first there are all marines and one alien and then the marines that die turn into aliens.
My favourite Alien and Predator game of all time. I still haven't played one that I enjoyed as much as AVP2, Id love a remaster of it.
Why this game still looks so cool?! 🙂
Both were great, but nothing beat the atmosphere and sprawling levels of AVP1. You were in a truly alien world where danger could come from ANY angle, and you often didn't even know which direction to go. And ALL the lights were dynamic, so you really had to rely on using your nightvision goggles or flares, depending on the area.
It inspired levels of fear that the later games just couldn't match.
