Ubisoft has shared a number of gameplay clips that showcase the combat mechanics of Assassin’s Creed Shadows. These clips will give you a glimpse at the different combat strategies and weapons that Yasuke and Naoe will have at their disposal.
Assassin’s Creed Shadows takes place in 16th-century Japan during the Azuchi-Momoyama era. In this game, you will live the intertwined stories of Naoe and Yasuke. Against the backdrop of the turbulent late Sengoku period, this duo will discover their common destiny as they usher in a new era for Japan.
Naoe will be quick and agile, whereas Yasuke will be a tank. Naoe will be able to use a Katana, Kusarigama, a tanto dagger and the hidden blade. On the other hand, Yasuke will use a Long Katana, Naginata, Kanabo, Yumi Bow, and Teppo flint rifle.
Both of them will be able to dodge attacks, as well as block and parry. Moreover, they will have special skills and abilities. And, alongside their light and heavy attacks, both of them will have a posture attack.
Ubisoft will release this Assassin’s Creed Shadows on February 14th. The game will not require a mandatory internet connection to play, but it will be using the Denuvo anti-tamper tech.
Finally, Ubisoft has not shared its PC requirements. We also don’t know whether or not it will take advantage of any Ray Tracing effects.

I don't get the fuss,even if it was real and not AI…these skins are pay to "own" aka microtransaction and not canon/obtained by playing the story.
As player of all AC games from start to end, all microtransaction i did purchased were the XP and Drachmae boost for Odyssey and XP and Silver Boost for Valhalla.
I never care about microtransactions as they are optional,not mandatory,in any game.
I wish UBI have succes with this,because i want to see Prince Of Persia Remake,that game is all i care,from Ubisoft since announced.

Ubisoft not taking feedback from their potential customers is what put them in the current situation, the game is DOA, and Ubisoft will follow in some way or another.
Looks cool but this is an RPG and it's going to be tedious fighting spongy enemies. Notice how they've hidden the health bars in most of these clips.

It's crazy the first time an AC's looked appealing enough to really play to me since I dropped the first one years ago is the first one to get all this ill will.
A comment space filled with bullshit from people who refuse to play a black character. Fear of feeling emotions through a black character created by devs who are of all origins. In a game that has never been anything other than a genre of historical fiction where ubisotf has always taken liberties with reality. Ridiculous comments as possible. The worst is that you don't even realize your stupidity.
I think it's more about this particular black guy doesn't make sense. He doesn't represent the Samurai history or the Japanese culture. The only possible reason that Ubisoft has done the game this way is to push diversity and inclusion. Hell, they even have a Diversity and Inclusion Dept at their headquarters with it's own Vice President. Google it and read about it on their website if you don't believe me. Linking is a pain here. A couple of years ago the CEO said that "the number one goal going forward is diversity". It's certainly not hiring based on talent and experience. That much is obvious.
I have played as a black character in games before and it doesn't bother me but this sh*t is just forcing a liberal agenda on gamers so I pass on playing it.
Choosing a period where Japanese people shoot with Western rifles or where the Jesuits, also Western, are present en masse on the island and sabotage Japanese society from the inside did not pose any problem whatsoever to those who wanted an AC highlighting samurai/ninja/Japanese culture during an ancient period. Not a word. But a black character who by the way does not prevent himself from immersing himself in the local culture, there it goes wrong. Double standards. It's just because the character is black, no matter the degree of argument. This is not the first work that deals with Yasuke and looking at Japanese society through "his eyes" does not bother me at all. In addition, there are 2 playable characters, one of whom is Japanese. The period chosen by the devs is full of contradictions and paradoxes. With a Japanese society in turmoil and mutation, the introduction of Yasuke only confirms the atmosphere of this period. I don't give a damn about these stupid woke stories that have no interest.
I'm going to buy the game and play both characters. Out of the question to set limits where they don't exist.

Dude we played AC: Origins with Bayek (black character) and almost none of us complained then. Cause it MADE SENSE. The one time we get a game based in Japan they make the mc black ofc all of us are complaining. Cause it doesn't fit in there.
I'm not saying that Bayek can't be a black character but the devs have really adjusted his skin tone so that the question doesn't really arise. Depending on the brightness of the game and the setting of your monitor you will never see a black character. If the character had been a black person identifiable as such it would have caused a scandal like here. And not just all of North Africa would have reported the "problem". You know it and play on it to hide the fact that the problem is that the character is black.
