Farming Simulator 25 feature

Farming Simulator 25 and Alan Wake 2 have sold 2 million and 1.8 million units, respectively

GIANTS Software has announced that Farming Simulator 25 has sold 2 million units in its first week. Similarly, Remedy has announced that Alan Wake 2 has sold 1.8 million units on all platforms.

GIANTS Software noted that there were over 125K players playing simultaneously on launch day on Steam. In total, the series has sold over 40 million units on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox. Moreover, the devs plan to release free content updates, patches, and expansions.

On the other hand, Remedy shared some new details about its other franchises. As the team noted, CONTROL 2 will be an action RPG. Plus, the first CONTROL will receive a free update in early 2025. This update will unlock some previously released content.

It’s a shame that Alan Wake 2 has not sold better. Then again, the game is exclusive on Epic Games Store. And, since Epic Games published it, we may never see it on Valve’s store. It sucks but it is what it is.

Anyway, just yesterday, Remedy released a new update for AW2. Among other things, that patch allowed players to boost the flashlight while reloading the weapon.

As for Farming Simulator 25, I’m not that surprised by its success. Let’s not forget that the peak number of concurrent players for Farming Simulator 22 was 105K. In other words, the game had already found its fanbase on Steam. Still, the fact that the 2025 version is more successful is commendable. So kudos to the devs for not dropping the ball.

Stay tuned for more!

    1. It's horrid game but I think the largest roadblock is that it's not on steam, remedont probably had no way of financing the game without epigs. They likely did themselves a favor not using denuvo or it wouldn't be as widespread as it is. Deadly combo is denuvo epic exclusive.

  1. Why does FS still look like a mobile game? for sales? PS3 games looked better than this PS2 era looking dump! pretty sure a car in Forza Motorsport for Xbox had a bigger polycount.

  2. Alan Wake 2 lost its title of the most shilled game of all time when Veilguard came along, and now it loses in sales to Farming Simulator 25. How sad.

  3. "It’s a shame that Alan Wake 2 has not sold better."

no it should have sold even worse, a game no one asked for, funded by epic and consulted by sweet baby inc and turned into a bait and switch, shaniqua woke instead of alan wake.

I am sure it will finally become profitable next year.

  4. I take these SELF reports about sales w a grain of salt, more marketing then anything, "hey look everyones doing it so you're missing out!!" The press gushing over this game, AW2, was likely a huge marketing cost to them also, bots in various forums too. And why this info now? not sure what else is going on, maybe it's for some stock quarterly thing idk. Those numbers aren't something to be proud of over a year though, weird. Farm Sim has had a dedicated base for years and afaik the last one was 22, not a surprise you'd get decent sales for that, it's a bit more believable imo

  5. Well this one way to make fun of Alan Wake 2, Farming Simulator 25 sold more copies than Alan Wake 2 in less than a week.
