Cyberpunk 2077 DreamPunk 2.1

DreamPunk 2.1 aims to make Cyberpunk 2077 as photorealistic as possible

YouTube’s ‘NextGen Dreams’ has shared a video, showcasing a brand new version of their DreamPunk Mod for Cyberpunk 2077. Version 2.1 promises to make CP2077. And, as you can tell from the header, it looks absolutely incredible.

Now the bad news here is that this is a paid mod. Right now, DreamPunk is only available to NextGen Dreams’ patrons. Thus, most of you won’t be able to make CP2077 look THIS good. Thankfully, there are other free alternatives. However, from what I’ve seen so far, nothing can come close to DreamPunk.

As the modder noted, Update 2.1 remakes the graphics configuration, indirect dighting, light diffusion, LUT saturation, and more.

Sadly, the modder has not included any performance overlay. However, we know that they have used DLSS 3.7.10 to get playable framerates at 8K on an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090. Plus, Path Tracing was enabled. So, basically, this is the best CP2077 can look on PC.

With this mod, Cyberpunk 2077 can compete with pretty much all current-gen modern-day titles. This does not really surprise me. After all, the game uses Path Tracing. And then, by tweaking its lighting and textures, you can greatly overhaul it. This shows why lighting is so important these days in games.

If you’re into Cyberpunk 2077, there are some cool mods you should check out. These mods should be compatible with this latest version. So, for starters, you can download the Enhanced Photo Mode Unlocker. There’s also a mod that allows cars to fly, as well as other mods that can open up new areas to explore. Then we have this mod that adds a cool Grand Theft Auto-inspired Taxi Driver Mode. Oh, and don’t forget these mods that allow you to play as Ciri from The Witcher 3.

If you don’t want to pay for a graphical mod, you can improve the game’s graphics with the following free mods. For instance, you can use the Ultra+ Mod. Not only does it improve the quality of Path Tracing but it also improves performance. Its creator has claimed that it can speed up PT performance by 30-40%.

If, on the other hand, you don’t want to use it, you can, you can try some other Path Tracing/Ray Tracing Mods. For instance, this mod disables all the fake lights when using PT/RT. And then we have this mod that can improve the path-traced reflections.

There are also some free HD Texture Packs to use. For example, you can use Cyberpunk 2077 HD Reworked or this other HD Texture Pack that improves all trees. There’s also another pack that improves the textures of almost all buildings, terrain, and environments. However, these packs don’t work together. Therefore, you’ll have to use only one of them.

Additionally, there’s a mod that adds realistic ragdoll physics to finishing moves. Plus, Law Enforcement Overhaul is a mod that enhances the game’s Police System. And there’s even a mod that integrates the OpenAI API which enables ChatGPT support. Responsive NPCs is another cool mod that enables dynamic NPC reactions. Don’t sleep on it as it can enhance your gaming experience. And finally, this mod restores 100 NPCs that were cut from the game.

Enjoy and stay tuned for more!

    1. Why do no image hosting services allow the AVIF format? You literally can't share HDR screenshots taken by Steam…

Here's some URL's for those who want to see examples (they work in Google Chrome and Chromium based web browsers on HDR monitors, but they may look washed out on SDR monitors):

That's "Nova LUT 1: Pure 2 Classic" from the "Nova LUT Pack" for LUT Switcher:

Here's some SDR links for those without HDR monitors. Steam's HDR to SDR tonemapping isn't that great, so they don't look as good, but it will still give you an idea of what they look like.

    1. If you watch the video you will see there are a lot of stutters, especially when driving. So, let's not be hypocritical about engines.

    2. The engine has nothing to do with that. The game looks that way only because of Nvidia and their tech. This game was quite literally a playground for Nvidia to show off some of their new "shiny things" (ray tracing, path tracing, ray reconstruction, DLSS, etc.).

  1. 1. This new trend (since a few years already) of using Patreon for mods is DISGUSTING, and it's killing the modding scene, or in the best case making it look extremely bad.
I never paid/never will pay for any mod. Not even the unofficial patch for VTMB. (Alright alright, maybe I would for this one)

    2. With the latest developments at CD Projekt, I'm obliged to boycott them for the rest of my life. I never want to hear about them or their products ever again.
These are the kind of people who contribute to making our civilization collapse.

    1. I have given donations to modders after the fact BUT never paid…. CDPR back in 2020(covid-times) released that "One Trans World" T-shirt vid… it was over the second they went Public on the stock market, or once they grew to certain Size of employees, Laws require H.R. and DEI depts.

  2. Looks really good, even if sometimes it's using the usual tricks of mostly grayscale and wet roads… But it's really good. 👏🏻

  3. A game so devoid of gameplay that all modders focus is its graphics just like another turd called Skyrim

    1. Both Skyrim and CP2077 are great, but it's down to the player to choose their style of game play. I always go stealth.

  4. I'm against this ,looking forward to new games , graphics are least important. Modding sometimes is good but sometimes like this bad

  5. what's more Cyberpunk than wanting to throw up from the total lack of humanity?

AI-Generated gaming! welcome to hell. you're going to hate it here.

  6. The game is basically make up your own with a 20hr bad narrative tacked onto it and lots of optional grind. I also think the whole "phantom liberty amazing" nonsense is just bots and then people being parrots, it's ok nothing that great. And certainly an insult 3 years later charging for all the "free" dlc. Eh studios on a big down trend prob be lucky to just eek out with gog at some point.

I think this game is going to be the height of the cpdurtard cyberpunk games, this tribestertrannee studio is even more so w the social programming and such going forward. I also doubt any witcher stuff could outdo tw3. Mods are mostly clothes, various purv stuff bc that community has taken over the nexisnotsee site page for it. Until there is some easier way to do custom questlines like in FO etc games it's just a purvcommunity game to mod into oblivion.
