Cyberpunk 2077 fans, here is something special for you. Modder ‘Tylerrrrr’ has released a brand new version of his CP2077 Mod that aims to redo/remake ALL of the game’s animations in third-person mode. As such, you can now play and experience CDPR’s title in third-person.
In Version 5.0, when you bump into people there’s an actual effect that fits third-person perfectly. This makes bumping into people on the streets feel better than before. In fact, the modder claims that these effects are better than those found in various triple-A games, like Starfield.
This latest version also fixes all the issues with climbing and vaulting. Vaulting over obstacles looks now perfect. Not only that but the modder fixed the leaning and orientation issues with walk jog and sprint. He also fixed most issues with melee combat. Melee combat is still not perfect. However, it’s way better than before.
In short, this is a must-have mod for everyone who wants to play the game via a third-person camera. For a mod, this is pretty incredible. Again, it’s not perfect. However, the game can finally be enjoyed from a third-person perspective.
You can download the mod from this link. At the end of the article, you can also find a couple of videos from it. So, be sure to check them out.
If you’re into Cyberpunk 2077, there are some cool mods you should check out. These mods should be compatible with this latest version. So, for starters, you can download the Enhanced Photo Mode Unlocker. There’s also a mod that allows cars to fly, as well as other mods that can open up new areas to explore. Then we have this mod that adds a cool Grand Theft Auto-inspired Taxi Driver Mode. Oh, and don’t forget these mods that allow you to play as Ciri from The Witcher 3.
To improve the game’s graphics, you can use Cyberpunk 2077 HD Reworked or this other HD Texture Pack that improves all trees. There’s also another pack that improves the textures of almost all buildings, terrain, and environments. However, these packs don’t work together. Therefore, you’ll have to use only one of them.
Additionally, there’s a mod that adds realistic ragdoll physics to finishing moves. Plus, Law Enforcement Overhaul is a mod that enhances the game’s Police System. And there’s even a mod that integrates the OpenAI API which enables ChatGPT support. Responsive NPCs is another cool mod that enables dynamic NPC reactions. Don’t sleep on it as it can enhance your gaming experience. And finally, this mod restores 100 NPCs that were cut from the game.
Enjoy and stay tuned for more!

atrocious
Is there a HUD in third-person mode? How playable is third-person at this point?
Edit: The mod page's only screenshot shows a HUD and crosshair.

there's mods to hide ui which at this point any veteran player shouldn't need, havent had os ui for a couple years.
Cyberpunk sort of needs a HUD for some things… Admittedly not for combat, as any semi-skilled player can guesstimate where their hits will land, but for other things it's kind of important.
depends, I don't have the UI enabled most of the time don't need to remember what does what, looks atrocious wiht all that junk on screen. I also have some things tied to other things w a mod, ie zoom in look no weapons brings up the minimap etc
Yeah, the minimap is kind of important.
Note that this mod doesn't actually appear to make the game third person (it's just an animation mod), and you may need the JB – TPP MOD WIP third person mod in order to get the game into a third person perspective, however the mod's description doesn't actually say one way or another.
Also note that the videos are for version 2.0 of the mod, and the current version is 5.0. Strangely 3.0 appears to be the first downloads on the Files tab, but they may be intended to replace animations in 5.0 that some people may not like.

Hell yes, I've always wanted to pretend I'm on a console.
yeah a decent tpp mod is about the only thing that would make this kinda fresh for me but the og tpp mod doesn't look gamepad friendly and shows the really nasty deforming body wasn't worth the hassle. This add on or maybe replacer for that looks more passable, like anything cp77 wait years months prob get ironed out even more. Odd decision by cpdr to not even give the option.
