Fun Dog Studios has announced that its co-op tactical survival horror shooter, The Forever Winter, will hit Steam Early Access on September 24th. To celebrate this announcement, the devs have also shared a new gameplay trailer that you can find below.
The first thing that caught my eye in The Forever Winter is its art style. This appears to be one of the best-looking Unreal Engine 5 games (in terms of art and design). So, I’m kind of looking forward to it.
In this game, you and your team have to search for stuff from the dead to stay alive while big war machines fight endlessly in the background. The devs claim that this won’t be like your typical looter shooter. The game will have two groups fighting each other, and you won’t be part of either. You’ll be just trying to survive in the chaos of war.
The Forever Winter will also feature a Dynamic Encounter system. Thanks to this system, enemies have their own goals and agendas. You’ll witness them operating in coordinated groups, and undertaking full-scale battles.
The game’s concept sounds interesting, and it will have some huge enemies fighting each other. And, since this is a PVE game, it will most likely appeal to a lot of players.
The Steam Early Access version will have four maps and one work-in-progress map. The game will have five characters, each with their own baggage and playstyles. Players will also be able to customize their arsenal with a wide selection of guns to choose from.
The devs have stated that there won’t be any paid to win solutions. This means that you will earn your gear via skill or luck. Moreover, they have stated that they’ll never charge for a new character, or for maps, guns, new quests, and bosses.
As said, this appears to be an interesting game. However, since this is an EA launch, it might suffer from some performance or optimization issues. So, make sure to keep that in mind. I’m saying this because a lot of players were disappointed by the performance of No Rest for the Wicked during its EA launch. So, again. Since this game will have some colossal enemies, it might also require a powerful PC system. You can find its preliminary PC requirements here.
Enjoy and stay tuned for more!

PC requirements are high… That CPU must be for some big calculations and advanced AI right? RIGHT?!
Anyway…
❌ Early Access
❌ Open World
❌ Survival
❌ Extraction shooter
✅ Atmosphere
The requirements are whats is now considered low and mid spec gaming rig.
E.A. when done right is actually a good thing, if the game eventually get a a single player campaign, I would be interested,
It's a small indie studio, and am sure optimizations will take place moving forward.
Are you saying we should waste our money because they are a small studio?
this one def has potential
The Day Before also had potential
Am legit interested in this game.
As always hype is a poison, don't get any of your expectations high, if it end up being good, good for you, if it's bad or if it's a scam then just keep walking…
Nowadays, I only buy a game if iv heard about it being good from other people. Usually if a game is good, a lot of people will be talking about it.
This is wrong, following the mass is not a solution either, when you hear a lot of people talk about a game, you check the game on YB without any commentary or just pir*te the hell out of it and try it if you can. people also sh*t on games out of a trend sometimes and what about the unknown good games that people don’t talk about ?
Couldn’t agree more, but just to be more clear. If i hear about a game it’s usually from people (in my friend circle), that like the same stuff i do; and they’re hardly a mass.
This is how these weirdos describe their own studio:
Anyway, this looks super lame, I have seen more exciting Excel spreadsheets:

Yeah that's basically like having pronouns listed in their bio, it's a 100% guaranteed poz.
Another reason for me to keep my PC away from this pile of shït, racists devs.
Also, that means stolen assets.
At least it's not jew owned, those usually like to hide their ethnicity instead of being upfront.
"Fun Dog Studios has announced that its co-op tactical survival…"
Aaaaand I don't need to read beyond that.
GTFO… was good actually.
Honest?
Might try it later then.
I played a pirated version with bots, didn’t got too far, because the game is HARD.
