Here are ten minutes of gameplay from the “Blade Runner meets Observer meers Batman Arkham’s Detective Mode” cyber-noir first-person game, Nobody Wants to Die

IGN has shared a new video, showcasing ten minutes of gameplay footage from the upcoming cyber-noir first-person adventure game, Nobody Wants to Die.

Nobody Wants to Die feels like a mix of Blade Runner, Observer and Batman: Arkham’s Detective Mode. And, this 10-minute gameplay video, will give you a pretty good idea of what you can expect from it.

In this game, players will see through the eyes of Mortality Department Detective James Karra on his hunt for a serial killer who targets the city’s elite citizens. Players will investigate crime scenes using his time manipulation augmentation and advanced technology to reconstruct events leading up to each murder and uncover clues that lead to the horrifying truth behind the murders.

Nobody Wants to Die will be powered by Unreal Engine 5, and it aims to combine photorealistic graphics and a distinctly unique narrative experience.

PLAION will release Nobody Wants to Die on PC on July 17th. Curiously, enough, the devs haven’t yet shared the game’s PC requirements.

Enjoy and stay tuned for more!

  1. 2 consecutive articles of "A meets B: the videogame."
    Journalism at its finest.

At lest this one looks promising.

  2. While I have nothing against the adventure genre since I'm all about story-driven games, I feel like if this was made 15 years ago there would have been some fun FPS element to this. We just have too many walking sims these days with barely any gameplay mechanics. But I guess if it did have some kind of action it would have felt too derivative to something like Singularity since the protagonist here uses a gadget similar to that game.
