Epic Games and 2K Games are currently giving away free copies of Marvel’s Midnight Suns on Epic Games Store. Until June 13th, PC gamers will be able to visit its EGS page and acquire their free copy.
Created by Firaxis Games, Marvel’s Midnight Suns attempts to offer the rich story, character relationships, customization and progression of an RPG with the tactical strategy and combat mechanics of a revolutionary new card-based tactics game. Set in the darker side of the Marvel Universe, you will forge unbreakable bonds with legendary Marvel Super Heroes and dangerous supernatural warriors in the fight against the world’s greatest threat yet.
You play as the Hunter, the first fully-customizable original hero in the Marvel Universe. Players will be able to personalize their appearance, choose their reactions to situations, and build friendships with Marvel legends spanning The Avengers, X-Men, Runaways, and more. You can decide who to take with you on missions, which missions to embark on, and a host of other options to make this a unique experience.
In this game, you will be able to deploy a squad of Super Heroes on tactical turn-based missions to thwart the forces of evil. You’ll be able to use your environment, move around the battlefield lining up the perfect shot or combo, and then launch devastating hero abilities to gain the advantage in each epic encounter. The combat promises to leverage the best elements from tactical games and card-based combat.
Players will also be able to spend time exploring what Super Heroes do in their off hours. You will explore The Abbey which is your very own mystical secret base to discover powerful hidden items and secrets to aid you in the conflict against Lilith and her minions. You’ll also be able to befriend and get to really know some of your favorite Marvel heroes as you interact with them in ways beyond the comics or the films.
You can acquire your free copy from this link.

Easy recommend for anyone interested. The mechanics and combat get pretty deep and there are plenty of mods for it to adjust the gameplay and aesthetics. Especially with no cost of entry like this If you were a fan of the XCOM: Enemy Unknown, XCOM 2 and Chimera Squad I'd suggest at least trying it because as annoying as it can be to deal with the social maintenance outside of the encounters, the combat does make up a lot for it. Especially lining stuff up with characters who can get off chain and quick attacks. The only other thing is that the DLC isnt necessary but I do think Morbius and Venom are some of the more interesting characters to do the social stuff with and then Deadpool and Storm feel like straight up upgrades to Blade and Dr. Strange.
why would i want to play marvel xcom with morbius that costs 15 bucks? Fck no, xcom ruined these kind of games as everyone copies it and its mechanics.
you say that but I really love that gameplay loop. divinity original sin 1 and 2, and wasteland 3 being some of my favorites.
see this is exactly what i am talking about, wasteland 3 ui looks more like xcom than fallout. Was that necessary?
does it matter the game was fun.
you could probably find the whole character pass for $20. XCOM ruined turn based strategy?
yes
I guess if the marvel stuff really puts you off then sure but its a moderately fun to do some encounters every once in a while.
I've been getting though it since it dropped on humble bundle. Its more fun than I expected but damn that outside of combat stuff should have been streamlined better. Its annoying to have to walk every where.
sales are doing so well they put it on the epic store for free , lo, also 15 bucks characters, the legendary edition is over 100 bucks, lmao.
did they put it on here for free though? thought epic payed the publishers ex amount of money to put it on here for free.
I have 15 hours in this trash and I regret every second of it. Firaxis is dead and we will never get a game as good as xcom1&2
Stfu
You don't like anything apart from rock hard d*ck.
How did you know?
He played 15 hours of it. He does like any kind of d*ck. He is not out of the closet yet and he likes to take it rough.
why did take you 15 hours to realize you hate this game?
Because xcom games are some of my favorite games of all time. Some people were saying to give it some time, and I did, and I never liked it.
There was potential, but they ruined it with card system, trash story, and literally vomit-inducing dialogue.
I think the card system that you can customize and upgrade is probably the sole best part about the game. I could do without a lot of the rest though lol because I end up skipping through most of the dialogue except for magik to rush back to combat.
You are forced to interact with others for combos, I’m not doing that.
Besides the card system being stupid, it also makes the game look like a mobile game.
that’s very fair, Im kinda thankful that characters I don’t mind interacting with are ones I like to use often and 1000000% about the mobile game look.

I tend to collect every free game Epics gives. But I think I'll pass on this one.
Why?
This game has sat at £50 on all platforms since release. And just because its free in the epic store, no thankyou.
I've never played it but what's wrong with it exactly?
Nothing, it's one of the very best of it's type.
Wait let me guess, you love Steam right?
Not particularly, if I had a choice GoG would be the goto. But Steam has been around for a long time, whats it does and dosent need is prodictable and it dosent have afaik, any tracking or unessisary online b$ to play SP games.
I got like 50 free games and I still don't play any.
same I got 172 and only played maybe about 8 of them from epic.
tbf apart from the indie titles I probably played like 1/3 of the big titles elsewhere by the time they become free on epic.
A woke hollywood superhero game.

Steam keys available from cdkeys at £5.99 for the Digital+ Edition PC (EU & UK) and £14.99 for the Legendary Edition PC (EU & UK). If you like the game then you would be better off getting the Legendary Edition. And of course you avoid EGS.
Epic, make piracy great again.
what's with epics storefront though?
You should ask this question within EGS’s forums.
I was asking you but, ok
I was answering you in a kindly manner as what you asked made no sense but did regard EGS.
