Yesterday, we informed you about Valve’s rumored game, Deadlock. Deadlock is said to be a competitive 6v6 third-person hero-based shooter. And, from the looks of it, a set of screenshots from it have been leaked online.
As with most leaked screenshots, these are of low quality. Thus, you won’t be able to judge the game’s graphics. However, they can give you a pretty good idea of its art style and UI.
From what we can see, Deadlock will have a similar art style to Fortnite and Overwatch. As said, the game will be also using a third-person perspective. And, I’ll be honest here, it’s something that does not really interest me in the slightest.
Deadlock was previously codenamed as Neon Prime. In this game, players will battle on a huge map with 4 lanes. The game will also have usable abilities and items. Not only that but there might be some tower defense mechanics.
Deadlock is basically described as a mix of Dota 2, Team Fortress 2, Overwatch, Valorant, Smite and Orcs Must Die. And, these leaked screenshots basically confirm that description.
Now I’m certain that Valve may create a game that can hook a lot of PC players. There is a reason DOTA 2, Team Fortress 2 and Counter-Strike 2 are so successful. However, this isn’t a game for me. After all, I prefer single-player games.
There is currently no ETA on when Deadlock will come out. Hell, we don’t even know when Valve will officially reveal it. Naturally, though, we’ll be sure to keep you posted.

My life was 1.6 back then, GO is 100 times better.

Never played GO, was already at other kinds of games at the time of the release.
GO is absolute steaming garbage, the reason it was alive for so much is because of the money in the competitive scene, and that’s it.
Today gaming are more cater to casual with their achievement system, visible progression system, matchmaking, etc. Back then with CS 1.6, we knew nothing about enemy capability, we play and sometimes getting nuked hard by enemy team that is way more senior. Feels unfair, but just like in real life we accept it and learn from it, until someday we didnt realize that we already good and meet that same enenmy in one occasion randomly and able to hold them back or defeat them with very thin score. The feeling of victory suddnely burst out of our chest because of that, its an achievement worth to celebrate without any text needed to notice us on screen and shovec it into our face.
