It appears that the release date for Assassin’s Creed Shadows, previously codenamed Assassin’s Creed Red, has been leaked. This information comes from the game’s official YouTube channel, so it’s the real deal.
According to its description, Assassin’s Creed Shadows will be released on November 15th, 2024. Yep, as previously rumored, this new AC game will come out this year.

In January 2024, BunnyTheVillain, a Ubisoft Partner and Content Creator, claimed that the game would be released in November 2024. And, as we can see, the leaker was spot on. The leaker also claimed that its first gameplay trailer will be aired this June.
Ubisoft plans to officially reveal Assassin’s Creed Shadows on May 15th. The French company will first share a cinematic trailer. Then, during its June showcase event, we can expect its first gameplay trailer.
From what we know, Assassin’s Creed Project Red will take the series to Feudal Japan. From what we know, the game will be powered by AnvilNext, and not by the Snowdrop Engine. Thus, it will be interesting to see whether Ubisoft will implement any Ray Tracing effects. We are also curious to see whether there will be day-1 support for NVIDIA DLSS 3 and AMD FSR 3.0.
Before closing, the first details for its Season Pass have also been leaked. Season pass will cost $40 and will give you access to a questline called “Origami Killer”. Naturally, it will also include all future DLCs and expansions.
And that is that. We expect Ubisoft to reveal more details about it on May 15th. Let’s just hope that this will be an actual AC game, and not just in name. I personally liked the direction of Mirage. Still, I don’t expect this new mainline AC game to follow its steps. This will most likely be an evolution of Origins/Odyssey/Valhalla. So, that’s kind of a bummer.

There is no difference between steam and any other DRM platform. So stop it, I know you know better man. They all need to go. Champion one and they all have a reason to stay. Because there is no damn difference. You see over at GOG. I just buy the game and install it. No laundry required, you use one and if you want. I’m this case it’s a downloader, that’s not needed to pay your game. Anytime something is needed to be launched to play your game, you’re fuq’d. This constant praise/defense of steam is very Nauseating.
You won’t be buying the recent Assassin’s Creed games on GOG but missing an AssCreed game is no big loss imo.
I tried playing origins and I have no idea what to do in that game. I just gave up after 15 minutes. I go into an assassin’s creed game with the intention of playing as an assassin. Instead they want me to be a Witcher. And the keyboard control scheme was the worse. Have a crap ton of keys on keyboard but you want me to press too keys to a heavy melee attack. This has gots to be a joke. What a horrible way to treat a franchise.
Only hope that the fans enjoy it. The games look fun but I was not amused enough with the earlier entries to continue playing.

I feel like the team probably started changing after seeing the reception to valhalla’s length and then mirage’s bareness. I don’t want games to be bad for the people who enjoy the series or for the developers time and efforts to be wasted. If the game comes out bad then that’s fair game to dogpile a turd but in the development stage I try to have a little hope that the people actually working there are trying to do right by the people who spend their money to play what they worked on even when its understandably tough.

i dont get it, they are all exactly the same, the formula has gotten tiresome and like some youtuber said “they say far cry 6 is more far cry, they are wrong, its worse, old far cry games were better than this” so yeah its diminishing returns and they get more woke with each game and censor stuff with updates and more microtransactions and time wasting crap and now all their games are always online including the singleplayer ones and they have denuvo and vmprotect which means they run like crap and the prices are too high even for old games so if you want to play an older game instead to see if you like it or if they improved you have to get one from 8 to 10 years.
Valhala made one billion for some reason, so i guess they now move to the other reskin of a setting that people like, but you can play ghost of weebishuma or a bazillion of other recent feudal games. I hope it sucks, i hate how they gonna ruin japan and make it woke.

that game is, of course, a really quite good action adventure RPG-lite set in Feudal Japan that was compared to Assassin’s Creed when it came out. (and I’d say a far better game than Ubisoft’s given us since maybe Assassin’s Creed Origins back in 2016).
and since we know Ubisoft loves their sour grapes (remember when their people were dumping on Elden Ring for it’s bad UI back when it came out? jealousy’s not a great look for a once-good game company) … so actually, it must all just be some wacky coincidence they’ve decided to reveal THEIR new Feudal Japan game a day before the much-awaited PC launch of another, almost-definitely much much BETTER Feudal Japan game.
We’ve had four games following Origins’s formula.

Ashraf Ismail & team did the last innovation in assassin’s creed with all its efforts and it shows. Origins was not perfect but it still had depth in it’s world, magic, beautiful graphics, and good story. Overall I enjoyed it a lot and last AC I played. But after that everything is utter nonsense. Just money bagging with old candy in new wrapper that also with bad flavour. And after how bad Mirage turned out, I don’t expect this company to do anything playable.
Odyssey is vastly superior to Origins imo. I mostly tolerated Origins, while loving Odyssey.
Nah! it’s Greece colored origins. All with reduced effects, awkward cutscenes & lesbo s**x which I can’t tolerate. They talk like idiots, their emotions doesn’t sync and always make funny faces. Origins had mo-cap cutscenes with proper emotions and good voice acting too. And let’s not jump into combat shall we? The Main game doesn’t have a hidden blade and that killed it for me with that dmc 100 hit combos.
I’ve played as Alexios ofc, playing as Kassandra makes 0 sense historically.
Game still kinda sucked tho.

I disagree, I just 100% completed Mirage and didn’t like the back to the old Assassin’s creed style, Game was decent though.
Best one’s for me are Black Flag, Origins, Odyssey and Valhalla.
I hope the new one is a mix of old style along with big open world like odyssey.

aside from the fact you think the open world grind with garbage throaway cutscenes is the best ones, why you people like black flag so much? The story sucks, the combat ism meh, the environments are tiny rock islands with nothing to climb, the naval battles are simple short and repettive and a cutscene simulator? You sure its not the setting you like so much?
I liked the last 20 minutes emotion wise.

It is going to be like Valhalla because the prices for Helix Credits are already available. They design the game so that you will buy credits in order to skip most of the game.
