Dragon's Dogma 2 feature-3

Dragon’s Dogma 2 gets a Save Manager Mod, allowing you to start a new game, create multiple characters, and have unlimited number of save files for each character

Modder ‘Llama’ has released a must-have mod for Capcom’s latest action RPG, Dragon’s Dogma 2. This mod allows you to start a new game, create multiple characters, and have an unlimited number of save files per character.

For those that are unaware, Dragon’s Dogma 2 does not currently feature any option to start a New Game. This obviously frustrated a lot of people. And while Capcom is currently looking into adding this via an upcoming update, PC gamers can use this mod so that they can start a new game whenever they want to.

Now what’s interesting here is that you won’t lose your progress on other characters with this mod. This is HUGE, and it’s one of the reasons we recommend using it. Yes, you could delete your saves folder to workaround this issue. However, by deleting that folder, you were also losing your progress to your previous character. Well, not anymore.

By using this mod, you can also create multiple characters and switch between them seamlessly. As said, there is an unlimited number of save files for each individual character you create. And yes, you can freely roll back to an older save.

This is how the game should have been in the first place. So, waste no time and get it from this link. Oh, and be sure to read its README file as it contains instructions on how you can use it.

Speaking of Dragon’s Dogma 2, I also recommend downloading its DLSS 3 Mod. This mod adds to the game support for Frame Generation on the NVIDIA RTX40 series GPUs. And, there is a way via which you can get constant 60fps on high-end CPUs, without having any stutters. I’ll publish a guide in the next couple of hours, so stay tuned for more!

  1. The fact a mod has to be made to allow such basic features, is quite telling of the current state of this industry.

I’m sure Crapcom was preparing a nice $14.99 DLC to allow these features. 🤦‍♂️

    1. The game companies using Denuvo are overwhelmingly Japanese. That’s why GOG has so few Japanese games, these companies refuse to remove their DRM.

Sega, Square Enix, Capcom, Bandai-Namco, Konami, etc. They all use Denuvo.

The Japanese gaming scene is in large part fueled by nostalgia, and in the eyes of Japanese companies, that requires aggressive protection of IP through DRM and legal means.

Sony exclusives are an exception to the rule, they do come to GOG without Denuvo. Because the games are ported to PC by Nixxes, a European company. And unlike Japanese companies, GOG has a good relationship with Nixxes.

      1. Sony Interactive (the game arm of Sony) is USA based and have been for years, dunno if that’s only a good thing considering its located in CA – Often causes other problems with their titles than drm 🙂

      2. That’s because the gaming division of Sony is actually American

Sony Interactive Entertainment LLC (SIE) is an American multinational video game and digital entertainment company of Sony. Established in 2016, it primarily operates the PlayStation brand of video game consoles and products.

    2. Remember the xbox 360/ps3 days? Street fighter X capcom on disk dlc? Asuras wrath true ending-gotta pay?, Ultimate marvel vs capcom 3 controversy? Keiji Infunae’s worst games ever ever? Good times!

      1. Honestly, after Capcom started their golden age with RE7, their past kinda got “muddled”, such high quality games every damn year… but alas, here it comes the real Capcom

  2. relying on mods, capcom surely has a great game on their hands HAHA. DD2 is a beautiful stuttering mess.

    1. It sucks because they are going through a golden age, every Capcom game features high quality content, the Re Engine is surprisingly efficient and “light weighted”. But it was only a matter of time for Capcom to show it’s “evil” side once again, Dragon’s Dogma as the scapegoat (niched IP, still, the fans are waiting for a sequel for 15 years or so and Capcom just took a crap on their heads)

    1. Most companies realize the benefits of having a great mod community, they don’t. It’s eat our burger with our DLC cheese, DLC dressing and DLC bread… or screw you. Or in this case insanely enough DLC save slots – Screw them!

  3. I am playing the game the way it is ‘meant’ to be played, one file, no reloads for mistakes or quest failures etc. But this is still absolutely necessary. I’ll mess with it on future playthroughs to experiment with stuff for sure.
I’d be wary of savescumming having an effect on the ability of your pawn to be hired, which will mess up your rift crystal income and pawn quests and stuff. Pretty sure it could in DD1.

  9. To think a mod like this had to be made, it’s amusing lol Capcom abusing the consumers goodwill, they are going through a golden age, receiving well deserved positive criticism… but here it comes DD2 smh it shows how these companies are all corrupted, regardless if they are delivering good products or not
