METAL GEAR SOLID: MASTER COLLECTION Vol.1 Update 1.30 Released & Detailed

Konami has just dropped Update 1.30 for METAL GEAR SOLID: MASTER COLLECTION Vol.1, and shared its full list of fixes, tweaks and changes.

This update brings save functionality improvements to the first Metal Gear Solid game. Additionally, it updates the Online Manual, and fixes some other minor issues.

For the second MGS game, Konami has resolved an issue where a “Damaged File” error is sometimes displayed when trying to load save data. It also resolved an issue affecting users who purchased the game in Japan where the English opening video would play even in the Japanese version of the game.

As for Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, the devs fixed an issue where some buttons were assigned multiple functions. It also addresses an issue where the audio was out of sync with certain videos.

Before closing, Konami shared the list of the issues it’s currently looking into. These are mostly minor issues, like one that sometimes causes certain cutscenes to stop playing or another issue where some face paints are displayed in a lower resolution. You can find the full list of them below.

Like always, Steam will download this update the next time you launch its client. Below you can also find its full patch notes.

  1. I grabbed 3 and started it but man they did nothing to make it any better than just straight emu which I still have, also played it on PS2 back in the day. Kinda played the heck out of it on 3ds a couple years ago and it’s too soon for a replay haven’t been back. I still have substance w all the fixes and mods as well not bothering at all there. I’d be curious if they’re using the fox engine for delta? amazing engine and hopefully they don’t screw it up, they’ve got V/Ground Zeroes for a guide at least but we are talking konami here lol

    1. Probably not, Konami moved PES (now eFootball) from Fox Engine to Unreal, they ditched it to not spend money in keeping the engine up to date. After Kojiman was kicked, there was no team to work on the engine.

  2. if this is all they can offer this is a joke, they basically put the game in an emulator shell and then dumped it on steam and the best update they can offer is some bugfixes, comically lazy in comparison to like the ff pixel remasters.

konami may have realized pachinko isn’t their path to untold riches anymore, but they definitely haven’t given up on their boneheaded and lazy greed
