Alan Wake 2 Patch 1.0.8 released, packing over 200 improvements

Remedy has released a brand new update for its latest horror game, Alan Wake 2. Patch 1.0.8 is around 3.5GB in size on PC, and it comes with over 200 improvements and fixes.

Update 1.0.8 is here to fix some important problems in the game. This update takes care of a few game-breaking issues. For example, it fixes Rose’s dialogue choices which sometimes were not selectable. It also resolves a rare issue with Saga’s lines not playing when going to the Sheriff’s Station. Plus, it fixes bugs that could prevent story-based conversations from happening. All of these issues could prevent you from progressing in the game. But now, thanks to this update, things should work much better. You can play the game without these problems getting in the way, and hopefully, you can have a great time finishing it.

Update 1.0.8 doesn’t stop at fixing just those game-breaking issues. It also makes some important changes in the game, such as fixing some issues with the Case Board, and with the in-game map. There was also a bug where Saga could get stuck in the game world. But this update resolves these issues and lets you move around properly. Remedy also made some improvements to lip sync. Moreover, it fixed various graphical issues in the environments.

For those playing the game on a PC, there are some PC-specific changes in this update. Remedy fixed a problem where your graphics settings would reset when starting the game. The team also made sure that the mouse cursor doesn’t disappear in the menus. It should always be there when you need it.

As always, Epic Games Store will download this latest update the next time you launch its client. Below you can also find its full changelog. Be also sure to check out our PC Performance Analysis, as well as our “DLSS 3.5, Ray Tracing and Path Tracing” benchmarks.

  1. As always, Epic Games Store will download this latest update the next time you launch its client.

Bollocks to that, I’m using the free versoin.

    Epic, make piracy great again.

        1. I continued on playing Alan when it gives you the choice, the highlight of the game so far was the Alan Wake musical. Iv stopped playing it since I got Rogue City.

  2. Woke game. They made Alan weak, insane, bad writer/decision maker and a side character in his own game.

It’s basically Saga Anderson: The Case of Alan Wake.

    1. Oh no, some dude spent 13 years in demonic oppressive darkness, he’s weak now.

Lock Stexman in a an isolation chamber for 3 days and he’d come out worse, lmao.

      1. My dude, he went through hell in the first game. If someone has experience with Dark Presence and demonic entities it’s Alan.

Mod Edit: Spoilers are not allowed.

      2. but he clearly stated to finally be feeling well for the first time in 13 years when he comes out of the dark place

        1. I can’t believe we waited 1
13 years for this garbage. It’s not even with pirating. Remedy is good at making sure you don’t pirate their games. A bad game is the best DRM.

  3. This game is unbelievably boring, there should be an achievement to get past the first hour without falling asleep.

        1. why, do you have jungle fever? aahh, I forgot you’re an edgy contrarian who lies in every comment to spite normal people

          1. “If you make me upset = you lie”

            Gotcha
Dude, the game is trash, just accept it and move on like normal people.

  4. That “30 min long music video” slapped into the gameplay that’s already boring, lost lot of their fan base. And the paid western journalism awarding it 10/10 is just to compete against RE4 Remake because no other game is close to it.
Remedy is officially in “blacklist” company now.

  5. Did they patch Alan back into the game? 🤣😂😭 Haha, homeboy became the side character in his own game. Seriously though, this ain’t funny, it’s tragic.

      1. not sure if you’re a militant, useful 1d1ot commie golem who shills for free,, or a simple NPC r*tard, but anyway, you need to go back to the leftard safe space you crawled out of, there is free speech here so this is not suitable for your faint-hearted, feminine commie kind

      2. Lighten up man. Because you know I’m right. You don’t have to agree but damn it’s the talk of the town right now about what happened to Alan. What was the point of this damn game?.. this is basically the white version of Wakanda Forever. Alan Wake is the White Tiger and he was missing FROM ALAN WAKE! There is no ALAN WAKE IN ALAN WAKE!

          1. I’m laughing remember? So that makes you the cry b*tch baby. I’m trying to keep it lite but I see you’re here for a confrontation. You really are Fuqin loser. But you have the nerve to call other people “loser”. Haha, what panty sniffer you are. 😭😂🤣

          2. oh dear, did I hit a nerve. You gonna cry into your momma’s panties again? You can’t even spell properly to be insulting, get an education, learn how to spell and then try again.

    1. I always appreciate blunt honest reviews. “Gmanlives” also stated the same.
      -Runs like a*s!
-Massive downgrade from first game which had plenty of enemies to kill and masterfully crafted spooky environments.
-All you do is walking > shoot a few enemies > do useless boring stuff > change character… Repeat.

      10/10 critics choice masterpiece!!!

      1. Not to burst your bubble or anything but the first game was far from complex. You had basically one kind of environment, always a forest, and all you did was walk forward and shoot a few enemies.

      1. He gave Deathloop a 7/10. If he was truly a racist he wouldn’t even have reviewed the game in the first place.

      2. Did you literally make an account a few hours ago just to post that?

How is the guy even a racist? He’s married with a foreigner.

  6. European Developers are always the best !!…………. Especially Eastern ones !!!
Good work Remedy . i admire their games since Max Payne 1 , i look frward to see Max Payne 1 &2 Remakes.

  7. This is BS. Im playing game on hard disk, and world streaming actually works dem good, but map takes like 10 seconds to load every god demn time when you open it! Seems bit faster after this patch, but still, coudlnt they cash just on bloody texture!
