Take a look at Bloodborne-inspired Lies of P running in Native 8K/Max Settings on NVIDIA RTX 4090

Lies of P, the highly anticipated Bloodborne-inspired Souls-like game, releases in a few days and NEOWIZ has provided us with a review code. As such, we’ve decided to test the game’s performance in Native 8K on an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090.

For our initial Lies of P 8K benchmarks, we used an AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D, 32GB of DDR5 at 6000Mhz, and NVIDIA’s RTX 4090. We also used Windows 10 64-bit and the GeForce 537.13 driver. Furthermore, we’ve disabled the second CCD on our 7950X3D.

Lies of P is powered by Unreal Engine 4 and supports both NVIDIA DLSS 2 and AMD FSR 2.0. Furthermore, the game will pre-compile your shaders when you first launch it. As such, you won’t get any annoying shader compilation stutters during gameplay.

At Native 8K on Max Settings, the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 was able to run the game with over 30fps. Then, when we enabled NVIDIA DLSS 2 Quality Mode, we were able to get close to 60fps. At the end of the video, in the open-world area, we saw some drops to the mid-50s. However, since we’re talking about 8K, I’m pretty sure that those interested in gaming at such a high resolution can drop the quality of DLSS 2 to Performance Mode. By doing this, you can easily achieve over 60fps in 8K/Max Settings.

Our PC Performance Analysis for Lies of P will go live later this week. All we can say now is that this may be one of the most optimized PC games of 2023. Yeap, an Unreal Engine 4 game can actually run smoothly on a wide range of GPUs without any stutters.

Lastly, we can confirm that the Bloodborne Mod from Garden of Eyes is working with the game’s final version.

Enjoy this 8K video for Lies of P, and stay tuned for more!

    1. Not intending to reply for John, but my guess is OBS.

It’s not like there is a wide variety of recording software in use. 99% of PC streamers will be using OBS.

      1. I use OBS Studio. It’ll record pretty much anything that can display on your monitor. The only real limitation is whatever you’re using to encode (usually your GPU), and your technical skills with the software (it can be a bit complicated).

If you’re looking for something super easy, then Bandicam is reasonable, but it isn’t free (there’s a freeware mode with limited features you can try as a demo). Mirillis Action works as well, but it uses a weird hooking method and is incompatible with ReShade and possibly other applications that injects overlays.

      1. John keep up the good work. This is the best site for 8K gameplay, mod news on popular titles, and high end gpu performance videos. Despite the ungrateful toxic remarks I see on this site from time to time, I am your core audience. Brought Samsung’s 8K 85 inch, RTX 3080 and then the 4090 at launch. I build new systems for certain game releases every few years, last two being The Witcher 3 and then Cyberpunk. Now I’m putting a lot of time into portables like my Steam Deck and Rog Ally. This site was made for me.

  1. I remember to play the Demo in native 4K on my 3080Ti at more than 60FPS, so the game was very well optimised in my opinion. I can’t wait to play it this weekend.

  2. I hate souls-like shart but this game has a unique vibe, I like the setting/enemy design and the concept seems original. I hope I won’t regret it, I feel a little dirty for wanting to play a soulslike game
