Max Payne fans, here is something special for you. Modder ‘hevitonttu22’ has released a new version of his Max Payne 2 Mod that brings back to the game the face of Sam Lake, and introduces an experimental first-person mode.
In case you didn’t know, Remedy’s Sam Lake lent his face to Max in the first Max Payne game. Then, in Max Payne 2 Timmothy Gibs portrayed Max. And finally, in Max Payne 3, Max was modeled after his voice actor, James McCaffrey.
Now what’s cool here is that by using this other mod for Max Payne 3, PC gamers can play the entire Max Payne trilogy as the original Max. This is a dream come true for most die-hard MP fans, and we are certain that they will greatly appreciate it. So, if you are one of them, you should immediately download the mod from here.
Anyway, the latest version of Max Payne 2: Old School Remix also comes with some other tweaks and improvements. For instance, the modder has reworked the level loading screens and the in-game environmental effects. The game will also now end if Max kills any innocent people. So yeah, make sure to check your fire. Furthermore, the MP5 is now actually suppressed, M79 has a safety range, and Jackhammer has a higher rate of fire.
Before closing, I should also note that Sam Lake will appear in Alan Wake 2. Sam will portray an FBI agent, Alex Casey. And, from the looks of it, the faces of this mod and Alex Casey look quite similar. So, kudos to the modder for getting this close to Remedy’s work.

This great game is reminiscent of a great era of gaming where developers were more capable in both coding and offering good gameplay. Games were not crappy copy paste of other titles like darksouls,call of duty or whatever else. most of the games had their own character and soul. Nowdays it is all about using UE5 or lumen or whatever crap is the trend without offering anything really attractive.needless to say most of the games are crappy optimized full of bugs incomplete sh*t.
Playing some older games recently, I’ve realized how fvcking awesome they were and how I’ll love to see a faithful remake of some of them. I say faithful cause we all know how remakes are made in these geh days!

I was into shooters mostly, Ghost Reccon Future Soldier was the last one I’ve played and also played Resistance: Fall of Man (PS3 emulator).
These games are not that old, not good either. Most games were consolized trash in late 2000s and early 2010s.

Better to whom? Aren’t you forgeting a little detail here?! Different people have different tastes. I love GRFS and had barely played the other, which I find cool as well. But I agree those games you’ve mentioned are indeed cool.
Better to whoever has eyes. Little details and amount of mechanics in games are observable, it’s not a subjective matter.
If someone finds a typical live service game better than a high-quality hand-crafted experience, that person doesn’t have a different taste, he or she is objectively a dumb c*nt.

While on the subject of remakes, both MP1 and 2 are being remade by Rockstar and Remedy. Seeing as how both of these companies have become pretty pozzed, it wouldn’t surprise me if they geh’d them up somehow. For instance, they might race swap Mona Sax to Mona Blax.
