Explains why Square doesn’t have a meaningful library on GoG. Suit themselves I guess, plenty of other RPG choices.
i am not a fund or jrpgs so i dont care but i gotta comment on this, i thought about getting into this series because its sci fi, turns out its swords with the occasional spaceship in a cutscene there is another sries phantasy star that is a bit better on this but still japan is obsessed with swords.
I remember a star ocean game releasing a while ago, i assumed this was the first story, so i went and checked nope, some other game last year, i checked if that was cracked or something, nope they removed denuvo themselves and we all know what that means, didnt sell. So i went to check the mixed steam reviews:
“Completely unacceptable PC port. Just a few of the issues you have to deal with:
-Initial shader compilation before the game even loads took about 45 minutes on a Ryzen 5800x/Nvidia 4090 system.
-Forced choice between FPS and Resolution modes as soon as the game starts, indicative of a lazy console port.
-FPS is capped at 60.
-Motion blur can’t be disabled.
-Extreme ghosting/artifacting from TAA that can’t be disabled.
-Depth of Field that can’t be adjusted and is overzealous to the point where it applies to objects and characters in the foreground. The entire game is blurry because of this.
-LOD can’t be adjusted and you will routinely see grass and various other objects pop into view a few yards in front of you.
-Internal HDR that does literally nothing but darken the screen.
-Bizarre almost unplayable keyboard/mouse controls. Attacks are bound to the 4, R and T keys by default. Mouse buttons do nothing.
-Crashed three times in less than two hours of play.
This game has been out since late 2022 with no updates or communication. These issues will never get fixed.
The game itself is fine – I completed it on PS5. The combat is generally fun. The exploration with what amounts to a jetpack can be interesting. The series has been resting on the laurels of the masterpiece second game for decades at this point. You won’t remember anything about the story after the game ends. It’s Star Ocean. It’s fine. That’s really the best thing you can say about these games at this point.
If you see it for 50% off or more, there’s worse ways to spend your time, but know what you’re getting into with this port.”

OH, THAT EXPLAINS EVERYTHING.
I’ll wait for the Snyder cut.
play resonance of fate it’s a much better game from the same dev. radiata stories and infinite Undiscovery were also good.
At first glance, it seems that it will be emulated on yuzu from first day. Denuvo money well spent
pretty much. bunch of dumbass old japanese business men.
Star who? Where do you even find these games John
playstation 1. also there’s a psp version of this game too.
The stink of desperation after the flop of 3M copies of their flagship franchise on its preferred system of the PS5.
This company will be no longer independent by 2025. I expect Sony will be acquiring them by then, or well before then, even.
It’s funny seeing fools talk about what a smash success FF 16 is, when Sony’s first party games outsell it 3:1.
Keep fooling yourselves, clowns. Relentless DRM from a company circling the drain, is a telltale sign of what’s coming.
They have no confidence in their games to sell themselves, so they lock them under draconian DRM. For once, I am in agreement with SquareEnix. I have no confidence in their games either.

people that weren’t even going to buy it getting ready to complain about the devs losing a sale LOL

I hope they stick four DENUVO up this game’s arsë.
i’m stealing the switch version for free on emulator f*k denuvo.
It’s always morally correct to pirate Nintendo games.
did this game exist? i didn’t know.
hahahahah people playing this troon sh*te deserve denuvo. you wanna play weeb troon garbage? you will have to pay for it neet.
Poor pirates.
Gotta love Yuzu 😉🏴☠️
the inferior version, for pirates
But playable nonetheless 😉
the poor version for poors
If you say so 🤣
Man have you seen this games graphics what makes you think they are gonna be making magic on PC and make it look any better than the switch version. it will look and play the same way on all platforms just like all their recent remasters it’s just the PSP version with up-res’d sprites and enhanced 3d backgrounds gonna be getting the PS4 version my self.
The switch is a sh*t platform.
You say this as though you actually believe it hurts anyone’s feelings. 😄
Cute. Sad, pathetic, but cute.
It does, of course. That’s why people cry when a game uses Denuvo.
I guess I will have to upgrade
not a surprise it might just get removed 6-12 months later or even earlier if it doesn’t sell as well they had hoped.
