Assassin’s Creed Unity Mod fixes cloth physics, adds wind effects

Earlier this month, we shared a mod for Assassin’s Creed Unity that fixed some of its NPCs LOD issues. And today, we are presenting you with another mod that adds some cool wind effects and attempts to fix the cloth physics when gaming with framerates higher than 60fps.

In order to showcase these improved cloth physics, modder ‘Halzoid’ released the following comparison video. Pay close attention to the cloth physics as this is the only thing that this mod fixes.

Now the downside with this mod is that you’ll have to use the AnvilToolkit. The modder has provided an installation guide so be sure to read it before downloading it.

Unfortunately, we still haven’t gotten a mod that can resolve the distant objects and crowd draw distance issues. AC:U would greatly benefit from such a mod. Seriously, the game could have easily passed as a current cross-gen game if it had a higher draw distance.

Ubisoft will release the latest part of the Assassin’s Creed series, Mirage, on October 12th. This new AC game will be closer to Unity and the older AC titles. Thus, it will be interesting to see how gamers will welcome it.

Stay tuned for more!

      1. Yep, Unity is the most infuriating collectathon Ubisoft had ever made.

80% of the game is just collectibles.

        1. Nope I played it back then and beside of the first and second, Black Flag is the one I enjoyed very much. Not gaslight by the internet affect my judgement

  1. To be honest AnvilToolkit isn’t a downside. Anyone who’ve been playing AC series knows it has the best and fun mods. Literally sailing in caribbean as a dead pirate in black flag has its own charm. Unity cloth physics always work at 30fps but still never had idle wind physics besides the Time jumps sections. Trying out this right now. Thanks for sharing.
