And it was about time. After numerous teasers, Microsoft and Ninja Theory have released a lengthy in-engine trailer for Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II. And, from what we see, this new game retains the game direction of the first title.
Now while Microsoft would love to describe it as a gameplay trailer, it’s not. This trailer only shows Senua walking for a bit and that’s it. The rest of the trailer is in-engine cut-scenes.
Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II is using Unreal Engine 5 and this trailer gives us a glimpse at what Ninja Theory has managed to achieve with Epic’s engine. And, from all the new UE5 games, this looks visually great.
Microsoft will release Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II in 2024.
Enjoy!

Oh great, another trailer showing pretty graphics and pretentious dialogue. Their actual combat sections must be completely trash if they’re still not showing it. At this point I wouldn’t be surprised if this game is 99% schizo walking-sim and 1% bad combat. The last one was also very “cinematic,” but this sequel looks like it’ll have far less actual gameplay.
I deal with retarded schizos daily and don’t want to roleplay as one !
The first one was 90% walking/puzzles and maybe 10% action/fighting.
I only played 10% till I realised it was giving Sundance Festival drama vibes.
That’s giving the first game far too much credit. While it was visually nice, atmospheric, and immersive, it was also a boring walking sim with braindead gameplay. I checked it out through Gay Pass and I got as far as beating the first boss before I was done playing that snoozefest.
Despite how much criticism they received for DmC, I liked it and it was a million times more enjoyable than these Snoreblade games they’re keen on making now (I hear they made other decent games before that too but I haven’t had the chance to play them yet) and it disappoints me how much they waste their talents developing trash like this.
I think DmC was good because Capcom collaborated quite a bit with them for the gameplay. If it was just Ninja Theory it probably would’ve been mediocre at best.
We’re not even gonna mention the horrible Abby like character or ambient occlusion. I Actually don’t know what’s worse, fr.
It’s yet another case of developers messing up the character model. The actress is a pretty white woman IRL, but her in-game character looks like a derpy version of her. This has been a trend for almost a decade now, and the more I see it occur the more I’m convinced it’s done for ideological reasons and not due to incompetence or technological shortcomings.
Forgive me if i’m wrong, but the model was uglified from the start of the franchise.
It’s done for the minority vote. But I’m kinda shocked this keeps on happening. The actors gotta be feeling like sht seeing the results.
overrated mental illness simulator
This garbage belongs in a mental institution.
The first game was brilliant. Looking forward to this.
First game was great for what it was. Can’t wait for the sequel.
this game was announced a generation ago.
asylum patient the game
What a pretentious garbage, in a normal world the first one would get abysmal reviews and this sequel will never exist
First was cool enough, but this one still can’t get my eyes.
This thing doesn’t need a sequel. Calling it gameplay is hilarious.
