Quantic Dream has announced that its action-adventure game, Detroit: Become Human, has sold 2.5 million copies on PC. Detroit: Become Human came out in 2019, meaning that it took three years in order to hit this milestone.
What’s also interesting here is that the team achieved a significant increase in sales of its three historical PC games compared to 2021. In other words, Heavy Rain, Beyond: Two Souls and Detroit: Become Human saw an increase in PC sales in 2022.
As Guillaume de Fondaumière, Co-CEO of Quantic Dream, stated:
“2022 was remarkable for QUANTIC DREAM. We achieved a significant increase in sales of our three historical PC games compared to 2021, an unusual phenomenon which builds on the already excellent sales results recorded in the previous three years. The continued success of Detroit: Become Human, but also of Heavy Rain and Beyond: Two Souls, is due to the quality of these titles, their enduring appeal to PC gamers, as well as the thorough and long-term work of our Publishing team. We are delighted to introduce our works to an ever wider and younger audience, and on all continents. At the end of 2022, we also saw a record level of ’wishlisting’ on these three titles, which gives us hope for an equally exceptional 2023.”
Lastly, Detroit: Become Human has sold 8 million copies worldwide on all platforms!

Was this game any good? I never hear anything about it.
It can be amusing if you mess up the QTEs on purpose. Other than that, the story is pretty ‘meh’ with not a whole lot of subtlety when it comes to real-world comparisons. Best character IMO is definitely Connor. I found the scenes with him and his human cop buddy (played by the VA for Mr. Krabs) to be quite entertaining. Detroit would’ve been a better game if the focus was just on these two really.
as a game? no.
If you’re into this type of game, with QTEs and such, it’s a great game with great graphics. If you hate QTEs, it’s not for you.
Yes! Good story, amazing graphics! It’s a solid 7 or 8/10.
Its the best David Cage game. I enjoyed it, and im not really into his other games other than Indigo Prophecy.
It’s a good game.
Rent a movie, you’ll get a better experience.
The best thing to come from this “game” is the p*rn.
sony is like sht on a stick that sells because its sony.
great game
I try to play Detroit back then, but cannot enjoy it at all, my wife have some praise for its movie like graphics and presentation though, but she is not into gaming at all
Just tried it out on Linux and was pleasently surprised to see that all shaders were pre-compiled on first run!
Add the fact that this game is making use of Vulkan and atleast the technical side of things is looking very good.
Steam sales.
I just like the helpful information you provide in your articles
Detroit was good. Good story mix of blade runner and cyberpunk themes
naturally like your web site however you need to take a look at the spelling on several of your posts. A number of them are rife with spelling problems and I find it very bothersome to tell the truth on the other hand I will surely come again again.
This was beautiful Admin. Thank you for your reflections.
Very well presented. Every quote was awesome and thanks for sharing the content. Keep sharing and keep motivating others.
Started off strong then fizzled hard. Not recommended.
Yesterday i finally finished the game. Pretty damn good. It feels like a movie (which is not bad) the story and characters are well written.
And I nailed, because I am pretty sure I got the best ending during first walktrough. Everyone lives, a pacifist end.
P.S. SUMO! ATTACK !
-WOOF
-Good dog!
Oh, Connor story is probably the best one. They could do a game only with him and Hank as his partner.
I love a good buddy cop movie
I dig it too. I usually dont like those kinds of games, but this 1 was cool
They were fantastic. It was always fun watching them joking around and getting serious sometimes. Also conversation was thought provoking and interesting.
I also can’t stop thinking about Kara’s arc. Definitely the most heart-felt for me. Her actor was superb.
Lastly that man. God he was so dark. The tone from caring old painter to leader of the deviants was incredible.
Watching him in the scrapyard was the most Terminator thing in this game.
This is my first time pay a quick visit at here and i am really happy to read everthing at one place
I know movie games get a lot of stick for not being games but this one was a nice change of pace and I quite enjoyed it.
I sometimes buy games like this for when I’m feeling like doing some lazy couch gaming, so I picked up the David Cage bundle last year. I tried to like Beyond Two Souls but I was constantly put off by Ellen Page, Heavy Rain was ok in some parts but slow, a little clunky and not really fun to play.
Detroit was good though.
I liked it for its time, it does get a bit OTT toward the end though from what I remember.
SteamDeck certainly is a factor in this. Perfect game for that device.
I appreciate you sharing this blog post. Thanks Again. Cool.
