YouTube’s ‘DidYouKnowGaming?’ has shared a new video, showcasing the most obscure cut content of the Metal Gear Solid series. This video is over 40 minutes long and is narrated by David Hayter (the voice actor of Solid Snake).
This is truly an amazing video that most MGS fans should watch. After all, it can give you an idea of what Kojima and his team were planning to initially include.
For instance, Kojima’s team created 3000 missions for Metal Gear Solid VR Missions. However, the final game came out with only 500 missions. Kojima also wanted to implement voice commands in Metal Gear Solid 2. Due to the limitations of the PS2 hardware, Kojima also had to cut a scene in which Snake would move through a flood.
Lastly, I’ve also included the previous MGS video from DidYouKnowGaming which has additional information about MGS’ cut content.
Enjoy!

Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2. This is why I wish Kojima was able to buy the full rights to Metal Gear. Konami will do nothing special with it. Phantom Pain would get a Kojima cut because we all know over 60% of the game was cut and filled in with those repeat missions.
i think it’s better like that mgs univers already got enough, it cover like more than 50 year going from the 1960 to today , dozen of game covering multiple character… not much else to do
