Gotham Knights will be current-gen only, won’t have MTX, new gameplay footage

Warner Bros has announced that Gotham Knights will now release exclusively on the current-gen platforms. Moreover, the publisher released a new gameplay video, featuring Nightwing and Red Hood, that you can find below.

In this first reveal of Nightwing and Red Hood’s official gameplay, get a closer look as these Knights seek to uncover the mysteries around the elusive Court of Owls while putting a stop to the various factions attempting to exert their own control over Gotham City.

Gotham Knights will feature an all-new original story where an expansive, criminal underworld has swept through the streets of Gotham City. Players will take control of the Batman Family. This means that you can play as Batgirl, Nightwing, Red Hood and Robin. From solving mysteries that connect the darkest chapters in the city’s history to defeating notorious villains in epic confrontations, players will confront an array of challenges as they evolve into their own version of the Dark Knight.

It’s also worth noting that the game will support a two-player online co-op. Players will also be able to customize their character’s look with new gear and weapons. Additionally, Warner Bros claims that the game will not have in-game purchases or microtransactions.

Gotham Knights will release on October 25th!

  1. Won’t have MTX – Yeah, sure.
70$ for basic version – no thanks.
Only PS5/XBSX/PC – Because optimization sucks, just like on gameplay.
“Next gen” game – looks like avarage old gen.
No proper offline singleplayer – No thx.
    Gameplay – MEH.

LOL, sounds about right. Reminds me of Cyberpunk 2077, what a trainwreck the last gen vers were.

  2. As expected. Grade-class-A horseshit! 70… I mean… 70 damn BUCKS?!?!?! WTF is WB injecting in that azz over there in fruityland, huh?! Seriously?! That WB and Discovery acquisition has them super thirsty, eh?!

I knew GK was a trashy idea from the top but damn it. A straight-up abomination (awful MoCap, awful graphics, awful models, dumb game design, etc.) from the unrivaled Arkham series, though, should be a REAL crime! ?

  3. It’s not a microtransaction if the microtransactions are bundled together in a $20 package.. fxck those nxggers

      1. Absolutely, that’s pretty much every “RPG” western game made since The Witcher 3 at the very least.

  4. redhood fires non lethal bullets meaning bulletsponged enemies, because you know bulletsponge enemies isnt bad gameplay and nightwing kicks people off rooftops, because you know, batman doesnt kill people. If people hated the tankmobile they gonna hate the shtbike even more, of course rpg mechanics because every game needs to be an rpg these days and have crafting, looter shooter loot with colors displaying the rareness of each part that is used for crafting, because every game needs to have that nowadays and crap combat from 2 generations ago. Also the writer of this game is a purple haired tatooed androgenous antifa feminist communist because of course she is. Next gen only unoptimized mess when it doesnt look much better than arkham knight.

    1. guess what? This is not the person i was talking about. Also what are the odds that some canadians transexual is always hired to write those games?

  5. WB montreal last game was batman arkham origins which was a broken pile of trash despite lore and gameplay wise enjoyable and that was darn near 9 years ago(2013). So I will wait for price drop.

    1. It was fine, but at least 80-90% of that game was just assets flip, half of the map and systems made by Rocksteady in the first place.

      1. Yep, and they still miss core concept that made arkham series so enjoyable, which is Rhythmic button press during combat. Each arkham series combat mechanic, have some kind of rhythm/timing that going faster the longer we hold the combo, so we kind of able to predict the right time on using the finisher to ‘reset’ the rhythm to its original state while still make it count as combo. While Arkham origins missed it completely, so we just kind of mash the button randomly and unconsistently without any clue of what the game before it able to achieve.

        1. Not to mention the shock gloves that break any attempt of making the game difficult or Deathstroke’s rope.
Anything new they introduced broke the game, like they didn’t think about it at all.

  6. Dafuq is even this?! Enemies that simple won’t attack, gameplay mechanincs that look like you’re playing some good ol’ mobile trash and it surely must have the g4yness around, but I wouldn’t watch it too much to find out. Calling this a trash is an insult to trash.
We “old” gamers are doomed to play 4 titles for the rest of our lives.
Unfortunately this industry died 10 years ago, and there’s not enough indies with good quality to keep us entertained.

    1. If you’re not put off by aged graphics then there are dozens of titles from the 1990s up to the mid 2000s that are a lot of fun to play.

        1. I just don’t have to have a lot of eye-candy. I started gaming in 1980 on an Atari 2600 console. Talk about pixelated.

1985 I got a Commodore 64. Early 1990s an IBM XT with CGA graphics. I guess all of this conditioned me to like older games as long as they were fun and not worry so much about graphics.

      1. I love good graphics, but no, I’m not a graphics wh0re! And yes, I’m doing a lot of this lately, cause there nothing decent to play in terms of new games. But there’s another thing, it gets boring when you know everything beforehand.

    1. Silly? More like f*cking r**arted. Red Hood is already an unlikeable character. But I guess moping and b*tching is right up DC’s woke alley.

  7. So it won’t be crossgen huh… that’s funny because it looks just like a game who’s being held back by the old shitboxes.
