Here are the official PC minimum requirements for Elden Ring

Bandai Namco and FromSoftware have revealed the official PC minimum requirements for Elden Ring via its Steam store page. According to the teams, the game will require 60GB of free hard-disk space, and will be using the DirectX 12 API.

PC gamers will at least need an Intel Core i5-8400 or AMD Ryzen 3 3300X with 12GB of RAM. Moreover, the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 and the AMD Radeon RX 580 are listed as the minimum required GPUs.

Surprisingly enough, Bandai Namco and FromSoftware have not shared the recommended PC system requirements.

As we’ve already reported, Elden Ring will not support framerates higher than 60fps on PC. However, FromSoftware plans to add support for Ray Tracing via a post-launch patch.

Elden Ring will release on February 25th.

Stay tuned for more!

  1. the game looks below last gen to justify these requirements i guess this is what happens when you got a company like from software that doenst optimize and bloodborne run like a slideshow on ps4 and they now make the game open world.

  2. This Minimum Requirements are nonsensical. But the truth must be told, the art & level design of this game is top notch, but im not going to say the same thing about the graphics, it looks like a remastered game from the PS3 era.

    1. Demon’s Souls looked advanced for it’s era tho. Especially the lightning. Sadly not much was done to the engine since then.

I would argue it doesn’t matter that much for the genre ER is in.

      1. I would say it look on par with what the PS3 offered at that time. I would argue that it looks like a PS2 game with slightly advanced lighting, but you can say that about most early PS3 games.

      2. There is nothing special about Demon souls lightning, the closest From software got from a good lighting was Dark Souls 2 even with downgrades. They downgraded Dark souls 2 dynamic lights ever since, newer gen games lack those features.

          1. I know, I just always thought that the higher they make the graphics the less work put into gameplay.

          2. Yeah, even when the example kinda applies i meant Quantum Games, the David Cage ones, my bad.
EDIT: it’s Quantic Dreams, what a stupid name.

    2. The artstyle always did the heavy lifting in Souls games, they are always a gen behind when it comes to visuals. This reqs are ridiculous, for a game that reminds me a lot of Dark Souls 3, which wasnt all that impressive when it comes to graphics.

      1. Demon’s Souls, Dark Souls and DS2 were perfectly adequate in visuals for 7th gen games.

Bloodborne, DS3 and Sekiro also look perfectly adequate as 8th gen titles.

Demon’s Souls Remake also does 9th gen justice.

        1. I disagree, there’s barely any evolution when it comes to graphics since Demon Souls (the remake is absolutely soulless and misses the overall atmosphere and feeling of the OG). DS2 is the biggest criminal there, with a serious visual downgrade (and the gameplay isn’t that much of an improvement, i would even say is worse than 1)
Of course is just my opinion, but the series peaked with Dark Souls and anything after is trying to catch that lightning from level design, characters to thematic narrative (with your eventual gimmick to keep things “fresh” like the weapon arts in 3). It’s a formula, and it works…but after so many games it strikes me as a series in a limbo or stale (which, sounds thematically appropriate)

          1. The way everyone looked in that remake were ugly they turned my Yuria into an abomination. Demon’s Souls never need a remake. It just need to be ported to newer platforms.

          2. PS3 emulation on PC shows how just increasing resolution and consistent framerate changes a game for the best, but Sony probably doesnt care about retrocompatibility as a business.

          3. Even with visual downgrade, DS2 still have a feature that no other game onwards from From had, which is dynamic lights casting shadows when you use a torch. Granted it’s barebones compared to games such as stalker series, but it’s better than nothing.

          4. Sure, i just wish that game wasnt realese at the time of those weak consoles…that demo predowngrade was so good. Not to mention how it hurts gameplay in the areas were is supposed to be pitch black and the use of the torch was obligatory, not anymore after the butchering of said light.

          5. I wonder which sh!thead enforces platform parity. Probably console companies since it is in their best interests, altought it woudn’t be an issue to make the game look like previews in the next gen systems..

        2. Demon’s Souls remake was made by another company.

“Bloodborne, DS3 and Sekiro also look perfectly adequate”

Adequate, not great. There still missing features that even DS2 had that is not present in those games.

          1. Dynamic lights casting shadows, specifically the torch. DS3 and Sekiro don’t have that feature, didn’t played bloodborne but it probably is the same.

    3. Just by comparing the 2 shots, ER seems to have more detailed character models and better textures. Your average remaster barely improves on those points.

      1. Indeed, in a game where you are using full armor 99% of the time character creation beyond classes is kinda pointless, but cool that is there anyways.

  3. i wait for the remstered or the HD edition or 4 k texture pack or some sh..t cuz it looks like a moded dark sould game ….

  4. I will look forward to seeing how it runs. Hopefully it will be better than Dying Light 2 was for me in everyway.

  5. they have this thing running on basic ps4 and xbone, but minimum requirements are closer to ps4 pro and xbone x.
    also ray tracing.

    1. Yeah, but From games are fairly complex underneath, sometimes so complex attacker can take over your PC by joining your multiplayer game.

Bloodborne was running scripts underneath your playthrough like crazy.

  6. That’s some heavy CPU requirements for a game that, from the videos I’ve seen, doesn’t look like it should be that demanding. I’m afraid they may be cutting off the majority of their playerbase with a requirement like that.

  7. another dark souls copy pasta with clunkiness player gameplay control feeling all over…..& people on internet wow man wow what a game goty goty..blah blah blah…..empty open world only killing enemies mothing else immersive on the open world…go to one place kill that kill & explore empty chambers finding papers…….dark souls fans will love this…

    1. It’s a pretty large departure from the other souls games. The world is packed, there are tonnes of NPC’s, almost every location has something unique to collect in it. Finding papers…? What tf are you even talking about? Yes, thankfully the game is mainly based on combat where you kill enemies, instead of basically watching an interactive film, like most games these days. It’s pretty obvious you haven’t played it. The world is far from empty, you sound like a games’ journo, blah, blah, blah.

  8. I love how people claim From Software games are a unique concept.

It’s literally the gameplay of thousands of F2P action MMO.

Waste your time learning how a mob hits, and then kill it, put this concept on a treadmill progression system and call it a game.

The only reason it became popular is because gamers in Japan don’t have a PC so they have never seen these action MMO and they hyped this console game like it was the next best thing since sliced bread.

The same Japan that still uses fax machines because using email is too complicated.

  9. 12GB of RAM? why? the game looks like 10 years old. Any computer able to run Dark Souls 1, should run this. By the way, I don’t see anything in the Steam page about requirements at this moment.

  10. These were taken down quickly, these might be a mix of recommended and mininum, because if this needs a 6-core to even run, this will go down as the worst optimized game in 2022.

  11. Will this have denuvo? this is one game I would like to try and not pay for since I know I would play for an hour then quit because I don’t have the patience for these games

  12. I just realized that the minimum CPU is a 6 core.

Steam survey shows over half of Steam users run a 4 core or less.

Over half of Steam gamers only have 8GB or less too, while the min. requirement is 12GB.

This is going to fail badly on PC.

    1. Souls games aren’t really massive sellers since they cater to such a small niche group because of the difficulty spike. It will prob sell the same as all the other games.
