  1. I can’t wait for this SoUls LiKe trend, all those NFTs and BRs and MTX and grindes and RPGs etc to blow over so that we can finally get a decent, state-of-the-art single player game with a finite playthrough time

I was playing Getting Up again today, remember that game? wow
am I old? am I going insane?

those games gave my childhood a meaning

    1. gimme a 20-30 hours single player with no political agenda and i’ll pay, i don’t have that much time to sink into gaming now, everything seems to get soo time consuming.

      1. exactly, I find myself more drawn to indie titles nowadays. new tech has enabled indie devs to develop excellent AA or at times AAA-like games with no agendas, more creative liberty and at a fraction of the budgets of AAA games

Not that old, an multiplat game from 2006 or so. Picked my curiosity and watched a video, seems like a game based on those boring graffiti side missions in GTA san andreas on first impression.

As for the trends, one dies down, another rise up, it’s been that way since forever with games, you can argue some trends are worse though.

      1. the combat in that game was amazing, so was the graffiti designs and the story. camera angles were quite cinematic and it was overall a very good game. not everyone’s cup of tea admittedly

      1. also you don’t have to comment on every opinion you don’t find agreeable or remind people what to do, but here you are

also of all the things I said you decided to get offended by me mentioning the DS trend???

I have stopped playing those games , of course!
but I hate coming to my favourite website and being bombarded with a ton of news about pretentious DS knock-offs.
actually people discussing their love or hatred for their favourite games is what drives this website and keeps it alive, the CLICKS, which is why John is always willing to post news about UE and Souls-likes.
not complaining, just stating a fact

Same thing can be said to you. You can just ignore the article, can’t you?

Offended? hahahahah.. don’t make me laugh.

Yes, you’re complaining. You just said that you hate seeing articles about it.
